WRS23MW3AW7 Westinghouse Refrigerator - Instructions

Received the parts promptly and did the repair just as the video showed. All went well and had the repair completed in 10 minutes. For me that was remarkable because I have two left hands! Would highly recommend partselect.com

Called repair person, 80.00 to come look at it. Deceided to see if I could find part on my own. Surfed the net found this website, ordered the part for 5.00, total 13.00 including shipping. waited a few days, received part in mail, lifted refrigerator door off hinge, inserted the part. Works like new. 80.00 plus repair, cost me 13.00. Amazing

First off make sure you have a good quality Phillips screw driver. When the blade is worn out you can disassemble the ice maker with out removing the front. But to reassemble the front cover must be removed. Do yourself a favor and buy the drum and nut also. I am a mechanic by trade so the tools and repair was really easy. Be careful of the ice crusher BLADES they are very sharp. If your not mechanically inclined take pictures before disassembly, that will help you greatly. Hope this helps someone. Thanks Rory

I looked up the model number here& found the parts list. They were very detailed, making identification of the proper part easy. I then watched the repair video which showed just how easy this repair was to complete. Once the part arrived, I removed the hinge cover screw, removed the two hinge bolts and lifted the door off the bottom hinge. It took the most amount of time to remove the broken hinge bearing. The new one popped right into place. I reversed the process and was quickly finished.

Crusher housing had broken so I ordered the part and replaced it. I have since put it back together twice. When I first installed it it crushed the ice no problem. From that point on it seems to lock up and won't crush the ice, cube ice works but the blades seems to hang up after the first use. I can turn the cog by hand but I have to turn it backwards a few times before it turns freely, however it still won't crush the ice. I took it apart and put it back together again. Same thing happened after the first time I tried it. Can you help me. The old crusher broke into. Could something else be locking up?Thanks for the help

snapped the wires from frig onto the proper prong and viola,it works. The proper prong is identified by the size because there are two prongs with the wires and two connecting prongs in the socket. I talked to a very helpful representative and she gave me the number for Frigidaire, when I was confused by the placement of the wire. Wish I had remembered her name to share with you. As it turned out I didn't need to call Frigidaire.

I first ordered the part from a local appliance/repair store in my area. The part was way over priced and they had ordered the wrong part when I went to pick it up. I had provided a picture of the part I need to them / it didn't help. I searched the internet for the needed part and found PartSelect. I found the exact part "I thought I needed" and also saw an additional hinge part that fit in the bottom of the door. I purchased both (figured if one was worn out the other would be soon). Turned out that it was "the additional part" that I needed. I would recommend that you suggest both parts when doing this particular repair. I also liked the fact that you provided pictures of the parts in question . . . recognized it immediately from your site. The repair video provided on the PartSelect sight was very helpful. The repair was a breeze for an old woman. I was very happy with the person who took my order (she was very nice and very professional); and the speed in which I received the part. The two screws that held the ice maker in place could not be seen do to there location. I could only get one hand inside do to space restriction.So I placed a mirror inside so I could see the screw heads and from point it was very easy to see and line up the nut driver on the screw heads. I then lifted it up and unplugged the wiring and installed the new ice maker. Works like a charm. Paul

1st a changed the defrost stat. Waist of time. Realized there was no evaporator above fan. Noticed ice was builing up behind ice maker near fill tube. Found if I shut off ice maker ice wasnt building up on fan. Moved fridge out unplugged fridge unscrewed plastic nut. Turned 90 degrees. Replaced tube locked in place . Screwed nut back on . Plugged in and turned ice maker on. Wife happy ice was back on and no noise.

followed the video instructions and wa-la! Saved my money by not calling the repair man, the shipment of my part was fast, and the repair was even faster. Thank you for helping me in my repairs. Very Satisfied!!! Carol

Removed the right door. Removed three bolts that hold on the door on. Once removed, I removed the bushing with a screw driver and popped the new one in. Replaced the door and no more noise. Fixed the problem. I also watched a you tube video before I started.

The refrigerator comes with 4 door bins. I had alot of wasted space so I purchased and installed another door bin. It snapped in. The hardest part was unsnapping a couple of the other bins to reposition them for better use.

Took every thing out of the door, removed 2 screws (plus cover screw), laid the door down, replaced the parts, put the door back on. When the refrigerated stuff was back in the door shelves, I was done.

The broken bin was removed. It lifts out. And the new bin slipped into place!!

As per video. No problem.
