How do I change the door sensor?
For model number WF45K6500AV
PartSelect logo
Hi Cliff, thank you for reaching out. Here are some general instructions that will help you replace the door switch assembly. Open up the washer door, and take off the clamp that holds the spring down. It is located on the lower of the boot seal. Use a small flathead screwdriver to get underneath the spring and lift it out. Take out the three screws that hold the door switch assembly to the front panel. Use a small flathead screwdriver to help get the screw out. Peel off the inside of the boot seal and grab the door switch assembly. Take it out, remove the wire harnesses by unlocking tabs, and replace them. We hope this information helps!

Washer making noise a snow smoking.
Take pics every step, easier re-assembly. Dismantled washer keeping bolt/screw section removed compartmentalized in a tackle box in the order of removal. Replaced drum support, bearings, seal, old blots. Too much to write but I was able to do it all in about 4 hours once all the parts finally came in.
