One side of our arm melted on the heating element after we removed it to clean it and did not secure it once returned to the unit.
After ordering and receiving the new arm, which was fine, I discovered the new arm did not come with the metal heat shields that were attached to the original, damaged arm. I had to remove the heat shields from the old and install on the new. This was done fairly easy with a sharp point tool that was small enough to get under the clips and bend them back so they would release from the old. Once installed on the new, I tightened the clips on the heat shields securing them new arm. Works fine now!

When the door was in the closed position there was no power to the unit. The control panel buttons would not put the dishwasher in any cycle. the panel lights did not work.her
I first verified that there was 120 volt line voltage getting to the unit. I removed the outer door panel by removing the 10 torx screws located around the panel on the tub side of the door. Two of the screws are longer so note there location for reassembly. The door handle can now be removed. Pull the outer door panel away from the inner panel and remove the connector to the control board. Set the outer door aside. Remove the connector to the door latch. The latch is snapped in position at the top side. Pry using a screw driver to release. Snap new latch in position. Snap on connector, Reassemble door by first reconnecting the control panel connector. install plastic door handle. Mate door to inner panel. Note interlock tabs between outer door and inner panel near the bottom area. Install the 10 screws. The two longer screws are at the top holding the latch and handle.

Leak around door
Installed new gasket and striker. By not pushing the gasket in all the way , as it is intended to, it stopped the leak. The gasket is made to push in partways or all the way. Worth the money!

Heating element went out, dishwasher wouldn't work
I checked the manual to determine the code meaning for 7 blinks, it was heating issue. I ordered the part from Partselect.com. When the part came in, I googled the internet for "How to replace a dishwasher heating element". There were several options, I chose one that was a video showing a handyman go through each step. I followed the steps, with no problems, and WA-LA! Felt good (as the wife of the house) to do it myself!
