Door seal would pull out when door opened and cause leak if not pushed back in.
Removed old seal by pulling it out. Inserted new seal by pushing it into the mounting slots using a screw driver, then a putty knife. After installation of the new seal the door was hard to latch (had to push real hard to make it latch). I pushed the seal further into the mounting slot until it didn't seem to change position any more. The door is still harder to close than with the old seal, but it doesn't come loose when the door is opened and no leaks.

Door gasket was decaying
All I did was remove the old gasket with my hands and push in the new one. Couldn't have been easier. The part was exactly what I needeed even though it did not list Kenmore as a mfr on the Webpage, it was exactly the same gasket as the old one.

leaking from right front corner of dishwasher
Followed others that described how they removed the old gasket and replaced the new one. As we looked at the parts for replacement it was somewhat confusing which seal-gasket was the rifght one. As soon as we read the stories of others we knew we had the right part. We then found the middle of the gasket and started pushing in the new one in place to have equal amounts of gasket to come down the side of the unit. It was fast and would recommend all to read some of the comments before deciding which part you need. Great info for the novice home repairer!

Dishwaster would not reliably start. Just blue flashing light
Removing the door was straightforward. However, when the door panel was removed, I grabbed the door and my finger touched and pressed on something on the right side. This is an optical collector which focuses 3 lights (red, blue, green) into a visible slot. After I reinstalled the door, the lights were not visible. I had to disassemble the door a few times and bend this optical collector into the right position. Basically, I bent the collector into the door, so I needed to bend the collector away from the door. And now, everything is fine.

Door leaked
Removed old gasket by pulling it out by hand. Attempted to insert new gasket, but it was difficult to get it to seat. Finally, I wetted it with water and a little liquid dishwasher detergent on a sponge, and then it seated easily. (No help from manual.)

Finding the part on the PartSelect web site was easy. The part was delivered the next day, although I only paid the lowest S&H fee.

Dishrack Tines were breaking off due to age
The rack came with pictorial instructions which were fairly veg, however they were to the point. The wheels snapped into place easily, and the center water transfer tube twisted off the old one and twisted on the new one just fine. It is a very good idea to keep the old one out to look at as a guide. There were no instructions on how to remove the transfer tube, I was lucky to have already worked on these before. After that it fits and works just peachy.
