1. Open dishwasher door, to access the screws holding dishwasher to cabinet.... remove these screws. 2. May need to shut water off and unscrew water line and waste line (if they aren't long enough because you will need to pull dishwasher out. 3. Unplug electricity 4. Pull dishwasher all the way out... probably need to disconnect the water and waste lines 5. crescent wrench to unscrew the plastic screws in back 6. Disconnect two wires going to element 7. Replace element... reverse steps 8. Not too bad at all 9. Part Select is Awesome !!!!
Heating element went out, dishwasher wouldn't work
I checked the manual to determine the code meaning for 7 blinks, it was heating issue. I ordered the part from Partselect.com. When the part came in, I googled the internet for "How to replace a dishwasher heating element". There were several options, I chose one that was a video showing a handyman go through each step. I followed the steps, with no problems, and WA-LA! Felt good (as the wife of the house) to do it myself!
Since there were no printed instructions, we looked at the photo schematic. Reassembly using the photo was easy by putting the old rack alongside the new one and adjusting the new rack spacing to match the old one. We also had new wheels which snapped on. We were delighted to repair and replace this good, older dishwasher rather than purchase a new one!
the gasket fit perfectly. I took the other one out by pulling on it and put the new one in by pushing it into place with me fingers. So very easy.......... and no more leaks!!! thanks!!
Tipped over washer, removed attachment bolts, installed new pump by clamping water hoses. Be sure to use proper crimping pliers, not the generic slip joint pliers. Replacement pump included required new clamps.
front track stop broke on both sides of the upper tray
Very simple to repair The front track stops just slide into place, easy. When I looked for these parts this place was the least expensive and the quickest delivery I have ever had. Quick, efficient and friendly online staffing. Thank you, Deb
After replacing garbage disposal. I referred to you video you sent me when i received the new replacement hose. That made it look very easy to install. Thank you for all your help and support.
The video included with this part is perfect. Unplug the dishwasher, take off the front trim piece, remove the drain hose from the pump, unclip the power, press the little clip that holds the pump in while turning it counter clockwise to remove. Then just do that in the opposite order to put the new one in. Just make sure you hear it click when you twist the new one on so you know the clip has engaged. Super easy.
Pulled washer out far enough to put 2x4’s under front feet. Removed front panel, I clipped wire connector and unplugged it. Pushed plastic locking lever in and twisted unit counterclockwise. Wiped inner rim and reversed above procedure to assemble.
