The timer knob on the dryer was broken and the dryer would not start.
The repair was extremely easy. I just removed the broken knob by pulling it off. I lined up the "D" shaft with the knob and pushed. I was done and the dryer now works.

Clothes were not drying completely
1. watched PartSelect video 2. adjust for the fact this was a dryer over top a washer. 3. we were able to remove the very top plate of the dryer and not have to remove the drum to get to the Thermal Limiter. 4. i used a drill driver with a square bit to speed up getting out screws. 5. It requires a ladder to be able to work from the top and 6. some pretty good manual dexterity to get the limiter out without removing drum. 7. the replacement seems to have improved the drying function!

Dryer drum bearing replacement
Had a loud noise coming from 10 yr old Kenmore stackable washer & dryer set. Pulled apart and found the dryer drum bearing shot. Ordered the rear drum bearing kit that included the male piece that attaches to the drum (Sears wanted 40.00 for just this part). The kit along with a new belt I installed while I was in there was only 37.00 including shipping. Got parts in 2 days from Chicago to Atlanta! Took about an hour to do the job Video was great. Dryer is very quiet now. However I should have replaced the heater coils while I was in there (40.00) Its the only thing left to go bad at this point. Oh well if it does I will order from Parts Select again and sink another hour into it.. Sure beats a 2-3 hundred dollar service call!!

A Leak In The Water Inlet Valve
It took longer to remove and then replace the back of the washer than to replace the water inlet valve. The video made it look easy and it was!. For the next perso: remember that if the water valve springs a leak and the washer has water in it, turn the dial to spin and the water will leave the drum. No need to siphon out the water.

Beaing was bad - installed new bearing
installed the back bearing with the ball bearing and dropped in the rear drum bearing and tried to install the drum to the rear drum bearing, but we could not find the screw holes to attach the drum, we tried and tried and finally I came up with the idea to take the drum out and screw the drum bearing while we had it ouside and that worked out beautifu lyl and all we had to do was reinstall the drum and all we had to do was lift it up just a little and drop it into the retainer rear retainer' and then all we had to do was install the tension roller which we had a little trouble but we finally figured it out and now it works just fine, it would a lot if there was a diasgram included on how to re-install the tensioner
