RS22BRXBW01 Roper Refrigerator - Instructions

It was a very simple repair. The only frustration is that all I needed was a small plastic part on the motor assembly but had to buy the entire assembly. Glad that I found the assembly much cheaper on your site, but wish I could have just bought the small plastic part.

This is a simple repair. the only reason it took as look as it did was because you need to empty the products from the door(s). Of course this is a good opportunity to thoroughly clean the fridge. The problem was caused by wear on the plastic spacer for the bottom hinge. Remove the plastic covers that conceal the top hinge located on top of the refrigerator. Remove the three bolts that attach the hinge to the housing. The door can then be lifted off the bottom hinge. Remove and replace the bottom spacer. Then remove and replace the receiver in the door by prying it out with a screwdriver or pliers and popping in the new one. I put a dab of lithium grease on the hinges before I reassembled them to reduce the wear and extend the life a little. Reverse the procedure to reassemble.

The video on the site made the repair extremely easy. It took 15 - 30 minutes start to finish. Had it not been for the video I wouldn't have known that the plastic nut on the end of the auger was reverse threaded. I would highly recommend this site for ordering appliance parts.

Just like the video. Hardest part was finding the right tool to unscrew the 3 screws which were easy. The rest was a piece of cake. I didn't replace the wire because I wasn't sure how to disconnect it from the fridge. The wire connections didn't look the same at the fridge wall as in the video.

pull unit away from the wall, and unplug it. remove the grill, and cardboard guard on the lower back of the unit. remove Three screws for the motor bracket. Remove the bracket legs from the old motor and assemble them to the new motor. take the fan blade off the old motor, place it on the new. Cut the wires at the old motor, strip the insulation back, use supplied wire nuts to connect the new motor. Reverse order to reassemble. Plug in unit to test function.

I have a KitchenAid side-by-side refrigerator and the right door clunked everytime it opened. We think it was damaged when contractors had to move the fridge and probably were too rough with it. I went on line and found that I could actually repair it myself (thanks to this web site, a great web site, by the way). I researched and found out through others that I needed a new door closing CAM kit. I only needed to fix 1 door, but bought the whole kit anyway (PS358690, Door Closing Cam Kit)to have spares. The kit showed up, I followed the great instructions via the video to remove the door, replaced the upper CAM on the door first and then ran into a snafu with the lower cam. The hinge on my model fridge does not have a replaceable CAM, it is physically attached to the door hinge. The instructions that came with the kit showed a hinge that was not my hinge - sigh. I had to put back all the old clunky parts, put the door back on and go order a new hinge (hopefully). Luckily there was a hinge available for my model with the CAM installed. I purchased it (PS331817, Door Hinge with Cam) and it came quickly like the other parts. I took the door off again (I knew how to do it this time), I replaced the hinge with ease, put the door back on and it is no CLUNK-FREE - Smooth like when we bought it. I would not have attempted the repairs without your instruction. I use a Drimel tool with a abravise blade to cut the part off the shaft. After I realized the Drimel tool would work. It took me parhaps 10 minutes to get it off the shaft. I had already ordered the new part and the job was complete. Thanks for the help. Ron Burch

Plan simple just screwed the screws out take the ice make out put the new one in and wait till the timer was ready and water went in and ice was made like brand new.

Ps328747 icemaker and water dispenser dual inlet valve was purchased from parts select. My wife, sandy, watched install video provided by parts select on their website. Sandy used plywood to protect our hard wood floor. She pulled out the refrigerator (she did need my help to do this task). Unplugged the refrigerator. I turned off water line in the basement. Sandy followed the video to the tee. Fifteen minutes later the part was installed. The ice maker tray was quickly filled with water. Ice cubes quickly were made. My wife is uniquely talented. Last winter, she remodeled two bathrooms in our naples home replacing all the fixtures, vanities, flooring, etc. My wife can do almost any task. Many years ago, I had a leaking radiator and a broken arm at the same time. What did she do--she removed the radiator from the car, took it the repair, and reinstalled the repaired radiator. Sandy plays tennis, golf, brige, hikes, sings in the church choir, works at theater as a red coat, and at 62 years of age, she tackled another item on her bucket list in january 2012. Sandy's first recital is saturday--she is quiet an accomplished pianist already. I could relate many other stories about her but the most important one is that this beautiful woman has been wife for 43 years and the mother of our two beautiful daughters, jessica and holly.

Unplugged Refer...Cleared top shelf...removed screws/covers to expose thermostate and capilary tube...removed old thermostate takeing care to notice how Capilary tube was routed and electrical connection were made (wire color coding)...removed sheath on old capilary tube and installed on new, always making sure to not "kink" tubing...installed new part just as the old one was...plugged refer back in and enjoyed trouble free operation.

I recieved the part from part select right away. While I was ordering I noticed a video I could watch on how to make the ice maker replacement part work. I was very pleased and the repair was a snap. Thanks alot for the help and the prompt service.

followed instructions provided. real easy. also installed new filter. forgot to flush the filter.
