broken bake element
turned off the breaker for the oven. removed screws holding old element in place, and carefully pulled the old element out of the back. took apart the wires that came out of the insulation with a screwdriver. replaced with the new one. the first time i did this, the insulation started smoking, i believe because i didn't have the wires screwed on tight enough the first time. but yeah, the hardest part is getting the rusty screws out. i had to do some prying action.
