Unplug stove. Remove rear panel of stove with a nut driver or socket. Remove knob from switch and use small screwdriver to remove screws on front panel switch. Remove and replace each wire contact one at a time to ensure correct wiring configuration. Replace screws on front panel to secure switch. Plug stove in and check that it works properly. Replace rear panel and move stove back in place.
Replace Oven light socket and light bulb in kitchen Range
1) Turn off power at circuit breaker panel 2) Slide out Range from wall 3) Unplug Range 4) Remove back panel and unplug electrical connections to socket 5) From front of oven, remove glass cover over old oven light bulb and remove flange that holds socket and bulb 6) Remove old socket from mounting flange and discard. 7) Place new socket into mounting flange 8) Screw mounting flange and new socket into the oven from front. Reattach electrical connections from back. 9) Screw in new light bulb from front 10) Replace existing glass cover over new light bulb and snap wire holder in place 11) Replace back panel 11) Plug in range 12) Slide range back to original position 13) Turn on power Works like a charm! When I took out the baking element, the wires went up inside because they were so short, I got a hold of one of them but couldn't get a hold of the other.
Had to pull out the refrigerator and put it in the dining room in order to pull out the stove to be able to get to the back of it. Had to take off the back of the stove to get to the wiring for the baking element, so at that point I replaced the broil element at the same time. Not a easy job at all.
UNPLUG the oven. Following what every else was doing, I removed the element first, then disconnected the contacts. The leads on the contacts are not overly long, so I found myself removing cover on rear of oven when reconnecting red and yellow wires. Required removing two more screws with nut driver. Should I have to replace another element, I would remove rear cover first, unplug wires from element, remove element. Reverse procedure with new element. While waiting for new element, be careful when turning on stove top element. Don't turn on oven by mistake, and when you do it, turn it off as fast as you can. If you use stove top while waiting for part, don't forget to UNPLUG the oven. Won't be but a day or two. Very happy customer.
Fue muy facil desconectar primero la estufa despues quite los tornillos de la parte superior detras de la estufa, desconecte un cable del switch y lo conecte en el nuevo despues el siguiente hasta conectar todos los cables en el nuevo switch. Lo mejor es desconectar uno por uno para mo mesclar los cables , despues removi el switch de la estufa y puse el nuevo , puse las partes de regreso y listo conecte la estufa t revise si funcionava el quemador y listo sin ningun problema.
I ordered part at 10am on Monday and part arrived at Noon on Tuesday 24 hours WHAT MORE can I say... It was all easy and now I have to cook again, so much for the stove is broken excuse.
Removed oven door (made sure hinges were locked open and stayed open). Remove part on top of trim, removed rusted trim and replaced with new trim. Replaced part on top of trim and screwed all back together. Put oven door back on and unlocked hinges. It was easier than the trial run (when I hadn't realized that the hinges weren't locked open!)
front lift burner not working and surface light on with everything off
unplugged the range removed 4 screws from back top cover then took the knob off controller removed 2 screws from behind the knob removed 1 wirer at a time and placed it on the new controller in same order the wires came off put everything back to gather did not fix the problem .
When you touched any button on the controls LOC on appeared.
Talked to parts select tech after ordering the control board. Tech advised me that he felt the range could be repaired without installing any parts. Advised me to contact manufacture tech support and explain the problem. I did to find that the child safety lock was on, probably from cleaning and touching too many buttons at once while whipping surface. Told me to hold down + and - at the same time for three seconds and it was fixed. Parts select tech had told me don’t worry the parts are guaranteed so I called for a RMA and returned the parts for a refund. Thanks Parts Select, y’all are real professionals and that is greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
ordered over the phone a new temp sensor. Un plug the oven, take off the back, open oven and unscrew the temp sensor, pull the sensor until the elec connector clip comes through so you can unclip the old sensor, clip on the new then pull the line back and re attach the sensor to the ovn. Plug in the oven. Pretty simple, just hard to work inside the oven. I unclipped the sensor line outside the oven to make sure it would come apart first before I was working inside the oven.
Bottom trim piece on 24 year old stove had rusted. Replace trim piece was still available.
Very simple. Lift oven door off brackets and set on floor. Remove sheet metal screws holding on existing trim piece, Clean area beneath trim. Put new trim piece on, don't tighten any of the screws until all have been started as some adjustment is needed to align the holes for the screws.
