The broil element was easy to replace. Start by either unplugging the unit from the wall or turning the circuit breaker off. I started by removing the two screws that hold it in the back. There was a support bar attached to the top with two screws also. After removing all screws, gently pull the element forward exposing the two wires. Make note of which wire goes to which terminal. I also clipped a clothes pin to each wire to prevent them from falling back through the hole. Disconnect the two wires and reconnect to the new element. Reattach all screws and you're done.

My husband was able to easily remove and replace the switch and know with-in 15 minutes.

It was one, two, three. Didn't even need the instructions, just unbolted and unscrewed the element and reinstalled the new one. The element was ordered and within two days it delievered on a Sat. with no upgraded delivery charge. Couldn't have asked for more from Part Select. Will definitely order again if needing to repair an appliance!

Turn off the circuit breaker that supplies electrical current to oven and remove oven door. Using socket wrench, remove back plate that holds the element in place. Then, gently pull out element from back wall until prongs and the two wires are visible. Remove screws holding prongs to the wires and discard the old element. Using the screws that came with the new part, secure the element in place and secure the back plate against the wall of the oven.

I had an appliance guy replace a burner(Calrod unit)on my 47 year-old GE range, but he didn't tell me that the original trim ring wouldn't fit. I decided to look up on PartSelect to see if I could get one to fit the new burner, and I did! Fits perfectly......no tools needed.

Shut off the power at the breakers, then remove the oven door from the hinges (for easier access to the back panel. Loosen the nuts holding the element plate to the back of the oven wall. Pull the faulty element away, carefully so as not to break the wires. Unscrew the electrical wires, noting their positions. Remove the faulty element from the work area. Place the new element into the oven area, attach the wires, push the element plate back in, and screw it back down. Turn the breaker back on. Bake cookies to test. Side note: delivery time from PartSelect was excellent. I went from shorted element to baked goods in just a few days.

It was simple to do. It actually took longer to read the instructions that I found on the website, than it did to change the element. I want to add, I ordered the wrong part the firs time, but the exchange was super easy and my refund was quick. I'm totally pleased.

Replaced element

We purchased a new, generic-brand, Bake Element, that was much cheaper thank the GE brand. We installed the new element and the oven now works great.

This was a truly simple repair. (Thank you engineers!) Moving the range away from the cabinets/wall and unplugging the 240V power to the range allows the repair to be safely completed. Two simple nuts held the heating element to the back oven wall, and two additional nuts connected the wires to the heating element. (The original equipment used nuts, so a nut driver was needed; whereas the replacement part came with screws so a standard screwdriver was used.) Once the connections were reconnected and attached to the back wall of the oven, the power was reconnected and the range was put back into its spot. I tested the heating element by setting the oven to 350 degrees and allowing it to completely preheat. Done!

This was a second hand stove we have had for about 3-yrs. I noticed immediatley that the drip bowls and rings were not OEM parts & the bottom of the burners had actually been bent to fit the rings. I was very glad to find this website with a detailed diagram of the stove and parts. I intend to replace all the burners, drip bowl & rings, and then start replacing other parts as needed.

could not find the proper pans and rings in any diy stores, as stove is so old. went on this site and there they were!!!
