Intermittent but rare spark when I went to start the rage: spark module definitely was toast or on its way out
The trickiest part was locating the elusive spark module. I am not certain I took the best route, but not considering all the wrong routes in trial and error, it was the most expedient. Certainly there must have been a single something to remove to get to this frequently faulted part..

Anyhow, thanks to the great part, the stove works really well again.

The bottom of the knob that holds that knob to the range, was broken
I just placed the knob on the burner control and pushed it in place. It was a really easy process. And thanks to you it was much cheaper ordering the part and putting it together myself than calling the repairman to order it, waiting for the part to come in and then making a service call to install it.

Replacement of a Dead Spark Module
The spark module pulses a stepped up voltage to all four burner sparks at the same time regardless of which burner you want to ignite. I read that this part lasts about 10 years. I don't cook much and it lasted 13 years. On my Magic Chef the part is behind the right side wall panel. Lift the range top, remove all the screws that hold the right side panel in place. This replacement can done without opening any gas fittings.
