Broken handle
I ordered the part at 12:30 p.m. and just took regular delivery in 3-5 days. The part arrived at 8:30 a.m. the next day and had it installed in less than 15 minutes. Very convenient and easy to do.

Broken handle
I nearly panicked when I found out that my DW handle was broken--I couldn't even get the door to open after running it. I finally yanked on it very, very hard and it popped open so I could empty it, but then I needed to figure out what was wrong. Not wanting to call a repair man for just a broken handle, I looked on the internet and found your website. I watched the video for the handle assembly installation and decided I certainly could do that myself (after all, I'm only a woman and 66-year-old at that). I took out all of the screws holding the door panel on and saw the real problem--the pivots on the plastic handle that hangs outside of the dishwasher had broken off and all I needed was a completely new assembly. I ordered that, it arrived quickly, and I attached it after disengaging the latch, screwed the panel back on, and voila! everything worked perfectly. I didn't use your switches since mine were already attached to the wires. I just reinstalled them on the new latch in the same order they came off. I'll tell you, it was a very empowering event for me, plus saving myself an expensive service call. That video of the installation was the whole key. It allowed me to see that I could do it myself or at least try it. Thank you so much!

I had a broken door latch.
I found your website and the instructional video. The video was exceptional. I ordered the part and was here in two days. That blew me away. Changing out the part was just like the video and took me less than 15 minutes. The best thing, by ordering the part and following the video I saved about $100 in a service call. Best yet, I didn't have to do the dishes. Thanks!

handle used to open dishwasher broke
removed 11 screws that were around the inside of the door allowing the front of the door to come loose. Then removed the door latch assembly, unhooked the wires from it, hooked the wires onto the new door latch assembly and put the latch back in place. Put the screws back in and the project was complete.

broken door handle
removed door panel, using torx wrench. I used an allen wrench configuration, has 90 degree bend in it, of the torx tool. In the future I would use a 'screw driver' configuration, i.e. straight shaft with handle on end. used screw driver to pry off old latch. reversed process to install new latch and handle mechanism. repair video provided by partselect was spot on! Partselect is my 'Go-To' from now on and am looking forward to contacting them for my next repair.

Door latch plastic handle broke
When ordering the parts there is a repair video of how to replace the door latch. Even though it was not necessary for this repair it is always nice to see someone else do the repair first so there are no unforseen items. This repair probably took longer to find the T20 than it did to do the repair.

Plastic latch broke
Everything went well and was pretty easy. The only slightly tough area was getting the wire clips to release off the terminals. You for sure want to cut the power to the dishwasher before starting your repair

Plastic Latch Handle had broken
I removed the screws from inside the door and separated the inner and outer panels. The latch assembly was easy to access, however, the wires were almost impossible to removed from the switch. I ended up swapping out the old switches with the wires attached for the new ones. The unit seems to work just fine. Would like to know if anyone has found an easy way to removed the wires from the existing switches.

Handle release broke, could not close and seal door
I removed the screws holding the inner door panel (approx 8), pulled it back and removed the handle unit from the inside. When I examined the unit I found a pivot/rod holder broken. I wrote down the part number and model etc. Went online and the site described the usual faults reported and ordered the part. It came in within a couple of days. Had unit repaired within 10 minutes. In this day of disposable everything, this was a delight and a surprise. I will buy other Maytag stuff just because this was so easy.
