start button stopped working on my dishwasher
Turned power to dishwasher off. I had to unscrew 9 screws that hold the inside of the door on. This exposed the latch assembly I was able to disconnect the wires (had to tug quite a bit). Plugged wires back into the new assembly and fit it into place. Screwed the screws back on turned power back on and it worked. Yeah I fixed the dishwasher for under $30.

It was too easy.
Matching the part I had in my hand with the picture online was a cinch. Rec'd the latch in a few days, and installed it in minutes. Why did I wait so long to look it up and order? At least the kids think I'm a hero for fixing the dishwasher!

Wouldn't open - latch broken
Removed 8-10 screws holding door inside and outside together. Latch assembly came loose at that point. Slightly pinch microswitch terminals to pull from connectors on wire harness. Connect the new latch assembly to the wires. Position switch back in door. Screw door back together.

Latch Hinge Broke
Simple repair, removed eleven screws with the star tip screw driver. Inner cover lifed up, latch lifed right out. Piar used to remove the wires from the spade connector. Put the wires on the new latch that was completely assembled. Placed the latch on the mounting studs, closed the inner cover replaced the eleven screws and task was complete.

door beginning to be difficult to latch and unlatch
Removed torx screws from inside door cover, then removed 2 torx screws that held the latch assembly on. Removed 4 wires from the 2 microswitches....wires are very difficult to pull off. Installed in reverse order making sure the proper color wires go to the correct microswitch. Probably the simplest, easiest repair job I've ever done.

latch had broken off inside
removed all the torx screws that hold the inside panel to the door. Removed the latch/switch.[Don't forget to turn off the power] Could not remove the wiring harness from the micro switch so I removed the old micro switches from the old switch and moved them to the new switch, harness and all. repositioned the latch and reattached the panel.
there are two latches available. I ordered the wrong one at first. Got the correct one in just two days. Was able to return to wrong one for credit.
Great service. Glad I didn't call a repairman.

The plastic handle broke
first I removed the screws holding the inner panel of the door which left the latch and handle assembly loose. Instead of disconnecting the wires from the switches which I could not do, I used the same switches in the new one. The new handle is reenforced with a metal pin instead of just plastic, very easy job.

the dishwasher in the new house that i had just purchased had no basket for the silverware
first i opened the door. then i proceeded to pull the lower dishrack out of the dishwasher. I then placed the new silverware basket into the center position for the basket. After replacing the basket i pushed the rack back into the machine and closed the door.

latch handle broken
the removal of panel was simple, the removal of electrical connections was difficult even with a little wd 40 i was nervous when any metal part is attached to a plastic part. it didn't want to let go but my suggestion is to work the connecter back and forth forward and back to get it started then with a firm grip on the wire harness with pliers pull the two apart with pliers. good luck!!!

Broken Door Handle
unscrewed interdoor to expose harness. Replace
handle assembly.
Very easy to do and very satisfied with new part. I ordered 2 parts to make sure I had the actual one with door handle release. One of the assemblies came without the actual handle but at least if I have a switch problem I will have the Harness and switch assembly.

handle was broken
Used a torx #20 driver to remove the screws off the back of the door. The handle and latch assembly was right at the top. A pair of pliers removed the electrical connectors. I attached the connectors to the new assemble and place it in the same spot. Replaced all the screws and it now works fine. Very easy repair.

The handle was broken and I wasn't sure if the latch was also so I ordered both. didn't realize that the handle comes with the latch attached. oh well
Removed all the screws lining the inside edge of the door. Two of the screws along the top also hold the handle/latch assembly in place. I removed the two wiring harnesses and attached them to the new assembly and set it in place and put the all the screws back. Worked great. I'm glad it was something easy like a handle.
