Broken door latch
First deenergize (turn off electricity) dishwasher. Remove all screws holding door panel. This will allow you to get to the inside of the door. The latch will be loose. Carefully pull electrical connections off both sides of the unit one at a time so as not to mix up position of the connections. Do this with needle nose pliers. Reverse order of the above steps to complete job.

Exterior handle was broken from interior mechanism.
With the dishwasher door open and horizontal, remove 10 screws with torx driver that secure the inner door liner. Once that is done, gently lift the inner liner a few inches to expose the handle mechanism and lift the old handle mechanism to remove. There should be enough length in the connection cables to allow you to work out side the inner liner. Remove the two connections, one on either side, to the safety switches and discard the old handle mechanism. On the new mechanism, reconnect the connections to both safety switches and place the new mechanism in the opening of the door. Replace the inner liner, ensuring all holes line up and replace the 10 screws that secure it.

Broken handle
After removing the inside panel, the two plug-ins are removed from the old handle. They were very tight, be careful to avoid damaging the plastic. Plug into the new handle, drop in place and replace the inside panel. A video I watched recommended pulling the two plug-ins from the panel. It is not necessary if you have someone hold it apart from the door. Very simple installation, about 10 minutes.

Door latch broke/ wouldn't close properly
Very easy do it yourself. Cut the power off to the dishwasher. Open the dishwasher door. Unscrew the corner screws of the door cover. (About nine screws. You may need to use a nut driver or allen wrench. You can elect to take off the entire cover or leave it on. I had enough room to leave it on. The latch assembly sits on top of the door mount. It comes right out. Use a screwdriver to remove the latch assembly from the two electrical connectors. Be gentle with these connectors. This is where you may need to remove the entire cover, just to give yourself more elbow room to work. Replace the old assembly with the new one. (Note: you have to replace the entire assembly even if just the door latch is broken.) Remount the assembly to the fixed mount, close and screw the cover to the door and your done. I ordered the part on Thursday, received it the next day and installed in less than thirty minutes. And the part was a perfect match.
