MDB7600AWB Maytag Dishwasher - Instructions

Watched video. Installed new latch assembly. Works great. I was ready to buy new dishwasher. Now I don`t have too. Thanks.

I just put the new one in. It fit perfectly. It's a better quality part than the original. I'm very happy.

Removed inside face of door and took out old but had a little trouble with wires. Used pliers to remove old wires and replace with new wires.

The repair is very simple: using a torx/star driver, I removed the 5 screws holding the original rack adjuster in place. Taking the 2 plastic pieces apart, I removed the old adjuster with the broken wheel and inserted the new adjuster wrapping them back around the rack side as before. NOTE: Once apart, I had no issues with the adjuster tab popping out, but others might. Just know that it's pretty self evident where and how it goes back in. (It pops back in very easily). I used the original screws and tightened things up once again, inserting the rack back into the dishwasher track and replacing the stop tabs at the ends of the slider bars. Took all of about 10 or 15 minutes - and only that long because I chose to wash and clean the insides of the rack adjusters to remove some (what I guess was) food pieces that were lodged in there.

Part came in on time and in perfect condition. I would recommend partselect to everyone.

Recevied the part a day ahead. took the back off using a Craftsman 4 volt impact gun (less than two minutes ) marke the wires and used a small pair of pliers to remove the wire connection ( a little tough recomend the use of pliers ) put the back on and again with the impact less than two minutes it was on and the job was done. Thanks for the parts that fit like a glove.

Purchased handle & door latch complete assembly. Installation was less than 15 min. Very easy.

The only challenge was identifying the correct model as I made the order. Your search of parts database made it easy and was able to order the correct part.

I ordered the part online. It was super easy after I entered the model number of the dishwasher. There is video online on this website which shows how to do the repair. It took me less than 10 minutes to change of the defective part. I switched off the current to the dishwasher from the main fuse box before I started to change the part .Total cost of the repair was only $28.66 (shipping included). Since there wasn't any instuctions that came with the part, reading about how others fixed the latch made it was easier. Without that input it would have been very difficult to do.

Turned power off to dishwasher. Fully opened door. Removed Torx head screws on inner panel of door. Lifted off panel enough to easily see assembly to be replaced. Assembly just lifts out. Removed wire connections on switch and installed new assembly in reverse order. An easy repair.

This was the second time the door handle broke and I had bought the special screwdriver for the previous repair about 4 years ago.
I unplugged the electric cord, removed the inner door panel and replaced the handle with the switches. Nothing doing.

1. Shut off power at dishwasher and at Main Power Panel 2. Open dishwasher door and on inside of door you will find 11 screws. Remove these screws an you will find electric switch which is part of the broken handle. Remove switch assembly and install new switch which has the new handle all ready attached to it.
