Rust and corrosion on the dishracks
I removed the bottom rack by simply rolling it out of the dishwasher, and removed (unsnapped) the rotating spray assembly. It was easily snapped into the center of the new dishrack. Next, I removed the roller stops from the rail holding the upper dishrack by following the marks (arrows) on the stops. I rolled out the upper dishrack, and rolled in the new one. Finally, I snapped the roller stops back into position.
The replacement of the rack was straightforward, but the tower assembly had to be moved to the new rack. The fit is precise and fits only one way. I did break off one tab, but it is held just fine. .
my husband took the bottom rack out, unscrewed it where there were screws, lifted up the unscrewed part, took the filter out, cleaned out any gunk, replaced the filter put the part back on, rescrewed it, put the rack back in and it works much better.
Tub rollers worn and falling off the mounting pins
The most difficult part is learning how to unsnap the plastic retainers at each end of the steel sliders on each side of the dish rack. Push the end caps to the outside and the plastic inserts will snap open and slide off the ends of the rails in two pieces (note how they were oriented so you can replace them later). The caps must be removed from both ends of each rail. Slide out the basket. slide the rails out. Pull the old rollers off the pins. Place the new rollers into position. A smart rap with the palm of your hand should snap the rollers onto the pins. If you have done it correctly, the rollers will not pull off the mounting pins. You could also place a small block of wood against the roller and use your hand or a small hammer or weight to snap the pins into place. Assemble in reverse order.
remove door panel screws 8 of them.door lock and switch are one unit.pull off wires in order to replace door handle.slip wires back in place and replace door panel.
i removed the strainer cover and then removed the discharge assembly. then repeated steps to finish.. parts select was very fast and cheap ordered ontuesday and arrived on thursday. I will recomend parts select to all
I simply looked at the other side (which was still functioning) and put the new one on but in reverse (left side/right side) I also was missing the end stop to the slide and simply popped that in and snapped closed. Two simple parts and 15 mins. solved a whole lot of aggrivation, without any aggravation! wish I had found this site sooner!
First you must understand that the end cap is not a solid piece. The plastic facing you is wrapped over the piece behind it. The separation may be obscured by age. Wedge thin bladed screwdriver into the outside edge of end cap at the bid point, a sturdy hunting knife will probably work better. When you hit the seam, pry it apart and fold it back. Unwrap the part and repeat on other side. The dishracks will easily slide out and in.
