I replaced the dual solenoid valve and made sure the ice cube tube was clear of any ice. Sure enough, it works and the nice old neighbor lady is happy.

Door to the ice shute broken with worn out parts.
Took two screwdrivers and inserted bottom of bezel pryed up and out gently. Removed (4) screws and unpluged (3) electronic plugs removing the circuit board. After you remove bezel & circuit board you have a chance to see what you are doing and get to the problem area with more ease. Remove old parts and reverse it putting the new parts. Process is very simple just pay attention to the order everything was removed. On my frig one of the plastic ears that hold the pin which holds the spring and door was broke. The piece I needed was no longer avaliable. I had to use a piece of the plastic from the old parts I removed, drilled a hole the size of the pin in it and glued it to the broken off ear. Put everything back together and I am pleased to say that everything works fine! So you might need to go a little MacGyver on it. All in all very simple fix.

Auger drum broke
Removed ice bin and separated parts. However, instructions would have been nice that the part to unscrew was the opposite of normal screws. Not righty-tighty, but righty remove. After I figured that out, disassembly, reassembly, and installation went smoothly. It was a pleasure to deal with your company!

Loud knocking noise when opening door
Removed the nut holding the plastic cover plate at the top of the door. Removed the 3 nuts holding the latch to the fridge. Lifted the door up and laid it on its' side. Removed the nut holding the door cam and replaced it with the new one. removed the nut holding the lower door cam and replaced it. Put a little vaseline on both cams and re-in-stalled the door. Refrigerator door would not self close
Removed food from door. Shut off fridge. Removed dust cap at top hinge. Marked location of top hinge with masking tape so lining up when reassembling would be easier. Removed screws holding top hinge to fridge. Removed door, placed on blanket&towel. Removed old door cam. Put on new door cam. Removed old hinge cam. Put on new hinge cam. Put door back on. Replaced top hinge, lining up with tape. Replaced dust cap. Note that door did not really self close very well until it was filled with food. By far the hardest part of the whole operation was that my wife wanted to clean the fridge in the process!

Feeder drum in icemaker broken
We used the video out on YouTube to show us how to replace the drum. It made the repair go so fast that we were amazed that two klutzes could do this repair! Remove the screws that hold the housing together. Place the screws in a cup to keep everything together. Remove the spiral unit and the plastic sleeve. The hardest part was removing the auger nut on the assembly. Just remember it is a left hand turn. After that, remember sequence of the blade assembly. The video suggested that you take a picture and that would help remembering the sequence of the blades. Follow the video!

Ice door broken letting warm air into freezer
After I ordered the parts, which was very easy to do using this website I read the other comments in reference to this repair. I am in agreement with anyone that said patience is important! The repair went about as expected, the only thing I had to do different was, after I assembled the door, it would not activate. I checked the microswitches for the ice dispenser and found that the arm on the glass bracket was not hitting the switches. I shaved off part of the horn on the back of the arm and that solved the problem!

Evaporator fan making noise
It was easy deterimining the fan needed replacing because it was very loud. I turned the refrgerator off, removed all the bins and shelves from the freezer. You also need to remove the metal sliders and posts that hold the bins and shelves to get the lower back panel out. the motor can be removed without any tools once its exposed. you first have to pull the fan blade off, just pull up, it slips off easily, disconnect the wires by pulling the connector apart, and to remove the motor, squeeze the bracket together while pushing up, it pops right out. I bought the motor kit which included a new mount and vibration isolator, plus a couple of other items that i didnt need, its a good thing i did because the old vibration isolator had deteriorated and was hard. I recommend that when installing the new motor, insert the vibration isolator into the motor mount in the refrigerator first and then push the new motor into the isolator, it goes in very easy that way. Then put the lower part of the isolator in the bracket and install the bracket. If you try to install the bracket and isolator on the motor first, you will have a difficult time installing it into the bracket in the refrigerator. Finally, install the new fan blade by pushing it onto the shaft, hook up the connector, and turn on the refrigerator. If it works fine, reinstall the cover, shelves and racks.
