Drum stopped revolving - broken belt suspected
I looked at two or three repair stories on your site and followed the advice given there.

Three major things helped:

First, access to the innards by lifting the top AFTER RELEASING THE CLIPS AT THE FRONT USING A PUTTY KNIFE or similar - very helpful.

Second, instructions on removing the front panel and pulling out the drum were helpful

Third, a caution about checking and re-seating the rear drum seal using a putty knife or similar - I wouldn't have noticed that the seal was curled over in a couple of places without that warning - I'm sure it frequently gets bent over when replacing the drum.

PartSelect was very helpful and very quick in getting me the parts needed. I didn't realize I needed the idler pulley until after I received the belt I had ordered, but the pulley came so fast it really didn't matter - gave me time to clean out bags of lint - the worst part of the job.

Dryers are very simple, but hardy and enduring machines - enjoyed making a 30+(?) year old machine run like new.

Dreyer wouldn't turn on
I noticed that the switch toggle that the dreyer door engages when the dreyer door is closed was broken off. I took two screws in the upper back area of the dreyer and and two screws where the lint trap cover is located and lifted the top part of the dreyer up and exposed the switch. It had a part number on it so I decided to see if I could find the part online. I googled whirlpool dreyer parts and to my amazement it had a section that said enter part number and I did so. Then came a picture of the part which was exactly the broken part. I ordered the part on a saturday night and the part was at my door on tues. mid-day. Wow how easy it was. Thankssaved me money and headaches.

Replaced belt
After my husband went to work, I looked up info of "how to" video on internet. After viewing video I thought I would try to replace belt myself. Everything went well. The only thing I did wrong was placing the belt on the wrong side. After seeing that it kept sliping off, I realized what I did and reversed it. And all was well.

Bad Motor
Following video clip instructions helped. Had trouble removing blower fan from the motor spindle shaft (must of had rust on threads). Wrenching rounded off the square plastic shaft of the blower and was not able to remove motor for replacement. Recommend removing plastic blower from motor prior to placing order for parts. Knowing the plastic blower was going to be destroyed, a replacement unit was ordered. When new one arrived, I simply used a 1/4" bit drill and drilled a circular series of holes around where the metallic threaded sleeve was contained to separate the blower from the motor for removal and installed a new motor and blower at the same time.
