KEYS677EQ0 KitchenAid Dryer - Instructions

Took the back off of the dryer, looked on "parts select" found what I thought might be the problem. Got the parts the next day. Put on new thermal fuse, then put on cycling thermostat. Wasn't sure which it needed, so put both on. Put the back of the dryer on hooked the gas up, hooked up to electric, & turned the dryer on. Back in business, everything works, dryer works as if nothing was wrong. Thanks to "parts select" saved me a repair bill.

I watched your video on how to replace the fuse.Wow it was a lot easier than I thought.I would highly reccomend anyone to watch the video before even trying to do any repairs.The dryer is working like a new one.By doing it myself saved me a lot of money.Thank you

Removed two screws at the top, removed two screws for the front panel, removed the broken belt, installed the new belt, followed the directions that were in the new belt package, and replaced all the panels and tested. It worked.

1.Unplugged power cord to Dryer. 2.Removed Dryer vent screen, unscrewed two screws located in dryer vent.3.Pried open top of dryer using putty knife. 4.Propped up top of dryer using 6 inch piece of wood resting on drum of dryer. 5.Removed screw holding door switch.6.Removed door switch from harness using putty Knife to pry apart connection. 7. Installed new door switch to harness and re-installed. 8.Removed wood used to prop open top, closed top, re-installed all screws, dryer vent and plugged dryer back up.

I have done this repair before..Remove 2 screws under filter..Pop open top..I used a screwdriver in front of cabinet..Always un-plug firstDisconnect wire harness..remove 2 screws in front of cabinet door holding swich on..Replace..plug in..Ta da!!

Hardest part was moving the machine from small washroom to a spot where I could work on it. Very easy installation if you watch the video. The new heating element slides right in and then just re attach the wiring. Good idea also to clean out the exhaust pipe vents while it is available.

I watched the VIDEO provided by THIS parts supplier, and I never before had repaired a DRYER.However, after viewing just how SIMPLE it would be to replace the dryer elements and exactly what was involved,, I felt CONFIDENT I could do the repair myself! ?The repair part arrived QUICKLY,, and the very same evening I performed the necessary repair,,, took all of about 30 minutes!! WE are BOTH very pleased her dryer works now like BRAND NEW and for such a nominal price!! THANKS Parts Select for being a fantastic company with a GREAT,, easy-to-use website!

Removed top, removed front, laid dryer on back to keep drum in place and replaced belt. Used masking to hold new belt in place while installing. Easy job. Belt was delivered in 2 days. Thanks

Me and my teenage daughter unplugged the machine and pulled it out. We removed the back panel. My four year old daughter held the flashlight while I worked and my teen provided directions from the instructional video we found on the site. We removed the two screws from the heating unit and removed the thermostat. We attached the thermostat to the new heating element. Put the heating element in place. We plugged the machine in and started it. We were jumping with joy when the coils began to glow. We waited for it to cool, screwed the heating element in place and replaced the back panel. My husband's jaw is still in the floor----girl power!!

We followed instructions in videos from this site and youtube. The repair went smoothly and dryer works great now.

This was so easy.On Parts Select I looked through the options of what might be wrong when my dryer stopped working. After ruling out any power problems and checking the door switch I moved onto the next possibility which was the thermal fuse. Although I did not have the equipment to check the old fuse to see if it was still functional, I took a chance and ordered the new thermal fuse for my model # dryer. At a total of around $20 (about 2/3 of that was expedited shipping at my choice) it was worth it to me to give this a try before calling a repairman for what might be a bigger and more expensive problem. The fuse came within 48 hours and I logged back onto Part Select to watch the very simple video of how to install. I removed the six screws from the back panel of my drier,located the old theremal fuse, removed the one screw securing it, disconnected the 2 wires from the old thermal fuse (which looked a little browned around the edges)and reattached the 2 wires to the new thermal fuse in the same manner. I then reattached the new fuse with the one screw and put the back panel back on my dryer. Set the time, and pressed the start button and it fired right up. So happy I didn't have to pay $200 plus for this simple repair. Trust me when I say you can do this yourself. Very straight forward and simple installation. Good Luck!

Lifted front top upward, removed two small/long screws holding switch assy. removed two wires, replaced wires on new switch at the N.O and COM tabs, reinstalled switch assy, lowered top down. DU FINI

We had initially ordered the wrong parts, but I called them to send one of the parts back. While I was on the phone with the rep, we ordered what I thought would be the right part. By this time I had been without a dryer for 5 days. It was about 4 in the afternoon. I asked the rep if we could possibly get the part the next day, and she politely stated that she didn't think so. But, the very next afternoon, the part was sitting at my door! I replaced the part easily while watching the you-tube on their website, and had the dryer running like new again in about 10 minutes! And I am a woman! I saved $300 instead of buying a new dryer. We have ordered from Partsselect before, and will continue in the future. I would recommend them to anyone who has any kind of appliance repair issue.

Remove the Lint filter screen from the dryer Remove 2 screws from lint filter housing, and top of dryer. Lift the entire top.(clips hold dryer top in place-dyou may have to carefully pry the top loose from the clips) Open dryer door and remove 2 screws from switch assembly on right side top of door opening. Remove switch by disassembling the wire connector. (pull apart) Then, connect the new switch assembly and align over the two screw holes on the dryer door frame with the switch trip arm in proper position. Insert the screws and tighten carefully. Be sure the the switch is securely tightened so it will not loosen during normal use of the dryer door. Lower the dryer top and press down to secure top on place with the clips. Re align the lint filter housing to insert the screws previously removed. Carefully tighten the screws securely, then re-insert the lint filter.
