Broken Dryer belt
Can't stop laughing about the mistake I almost made, before I even looked on internet I called Sears and scheduled a repair appointment, $80.00 just to have someone come out and tell me what my problem was not to repair it but to tell me whats wrong. And I told them the belt had broken I heard it when it snapped. Long story short version I found your website and entered appliance information, found part for $15.00 but also found on-site video clearly making the needed repair. Clear step by step instructions taking only 8 minutes looked very easy so I took a chance ordered the part two days later part arrived so I went into basement armed with laptop and tools. MAN it was easy.... too easy ....worked out fine video was spot on. Thanks you guys are a great company

Switch broken
I was impressed with the fast time the part was delivered. The price was good too. The installation video and instructions did not match my dryer but it was helpful to some extent. The video and instructions being different was not ya'll's fault because of the age of the dryer. It took me so long to change the switch was because of the location and design of the switch. I got it though.

Broken Pulley And Belt
Called partsselect on monday and parts arrived tuesday. The repair is simple to do. I removed the lint filter, opened the top of the dryer, disconnected the door switch, removed the two screws holding the front of the dryer then lifting it up to remove. I removed the broken pulley assembly and belt. I installed the new pulley assembly and belt. Then I reassembled in the reverse order.

Dryer would not start
I unplugged the dryer, removed the vent pipe, moved the dryer out to remove the back to get at the wiring and the thermostat's. Used the volt-ohmmeter to check for bunt out fuses and thermostats. The thermal fuse was out. If that part burns out there is trouble with one or all of the other safety devises, which is hard to check, so I replaced all 4 of heat controls. It was easy and now I do not have to worry about the dryer over heating. Thank you for your suggestion on what might be wrong and how to fix it. The Belt broke and the door catch was broken.
Removed the front panel (door and all) to repaired the belt as the instructions said took him 10 minutes. Than as we have the door off we snapped the old door catch out and snapped the other on in less than 5 minutes. The most work was me holding to front panel while my husband screwed the screws off and back on. Total time 25 minutes. My dryer is from the early 1990's. Our baby girl was in high school. She's 29 years of age now. As long as this company stays around we will be ordering our parts from PartSelect. Thanks!
