Microwave would not heat
I went on line, put in microwave repair and watched a video on repair. I then took the oven down from over the range and took it apart. I could see were the magnetron had burned out. There was a hole with obvious burn marks. I went on line looking for the needed part. I clicked on PartSelect and order the magnetron. I received the part within three days, regular shipping. As I had not put the oven back together it took only a few moments to save 150 to 200+ dollars. I put it back together and happy, happy me, it worked.

Outer door panel was broken for the second time
The door comes off fairly easy. Removed the snap on plastic cover. This could be easy to break. The center part of the door just snaps out but the glass is a bit difficult to get out and back in. You have to pull the new panel out some to get the glass in without pulling to hard to avoid breaking the new one.Once the glass is in you simply snap the center part back in and screw the handle back on. Then snap the plastic cover back in and hang the door back on the unit.

broken door frame (3rd time)
Lift the door off set on thick towel and carefully slip the knife around the back edge of the door and pop it off and then unscrew the handle and unclip the front panel slowly and replace. Get an illustration of the layered parts from the partslect website. Be patient as the glass is a tight fit and will be a pain. Good thing is that it is an original GE part, not cheap knockoff although the GE door design is rather dumb so that it should break this maney times with no kids using it.
