The ice stripper cracked from freezing.
There was three screws to remove to unmout the ice maker, and unplug the wire harness, then two to remove to slip in new stripper. All took about 20 mins.
Removed old light switch by prying up and out of housing...removed wires (carefully not to get shocked!) and taped to inside of refrigerator housing. Ordered best matching part and rec'd it in a couple of days. Took less than 5 minutes to remove taped wires from side of cabinet and connect to new switch (which was a perfect match to the original equipment) and snap switch back into refrigerator housing! Works perfectly! Thanks!
I popped the switched out depressing the underside of the switch so that it could be removed. I ordered the part. Paid for normal shipping. Received an order confirmation. Received a shipping notification. Received the part the next morning. Open the part and attached the wires. Pushed the switch into the hole and the process was done in less than 24 hours. I couldn't have been more pleased. The actual installation took less than 30 seconds.
I found it very easy to find this small part on this website and order a couple. All I had to do was remove the broken clip by pulling it out and push the new clip in. I was so proud of myself since we had been just dealing with the broken clip for over a year. It was a pain everytime we had to remove the grill to check the water in the drip pan.
Pried out ice blade bar and removed broken water fill cup and replaced with new one.The whole repair costs $9.52 So I saved $ 190 over the cost of Appliance man visit! It would have been $150& $50 for visit to replace ice maker unit.
Recently unemployed, we knew a repairman was out of the question. We opted to glue the broken tab,but I knew that would just be living a substandard rerpair so looked on line. Found our replacement part very easily and much to our surprise we had the part the next day, yes, the next day!! Looking at the new part gave us the confidence to pop out the old one without causing damage to our unit. It was a no brainer , pop out and plug in w/in 30 seconds. Small appliance repairmen are a minumum of 75.00 service fee plus parts. Our repair less than 20.00 less than 24 hrs. How good is that?
Fit lower screw(from Fridge)into upper slot on pointed end of new handle, then lined up the holes on the top of the fridge door....Put in the screws & tightened(not too tight) . All done
Took knife and pried out the the damaged switch. Took wires off. Put the wires on the new switch and put it back in the hole. Job finished. The part shipment was very prompt and I am happy. The End!
overloaded the deli drawer, and when pulled out, broke off the left side support rail
easy repair.......just had to unload the top glass shelf and remove to the counter, turn upside down and remove the 2 phillips screws. replace the broken rail with the new and tighten the 2 screws. re-load ( and clean out the refrigerator) all the items that were on the top shelf and admire the work. of course now you can put the cheese & lunchmeat drawer back where it belongs
Removed broken parts, one with screwdriver, other by releasing from post. Had to reset post with screwdriver so top of handle would sit flush with top of door. Because the post screw was not set properly the first time, undue stress was caused at the top of the handle, where the break occurred.
