Freezer iced up and frige too warm.
I called a repair shop and they said the control bd. was bad. They replaced it and about 2 weeks later it happened again. They came out again and replaced the bd. under warranty. About a week later it happened again. This seemed like too much of a coincidence, so I looked around on the internet and found your site. The video showed how to replace the freezer safety thermostat which I ordered on Sunday and received on Tuesday. By then the coils were iced up again. I completed the repair in about half an hour. So far the old GE is working like new. Thanks for the help. I just wish I hadn't spent over $400 for incompetent repair people in the first place. Thanks again, you guys are great! By the way the part only cost about $17 including shipping.

Flapper Seal for Ice Cube Chute was Warped and would not close tightly.
I followed the instructions on the video presentation, stopping the video each time until I had completed the described step. Only one minor change from the video...my refrigerator door (stainless steel) does not have the plastic edging around the control panel as shown in the video. It took me a minute or two to figure out that I had to push the tabs on the bottom of the control panel. The rest was easy.

Frost inside freezer door and water dispenser line freezing
I followed the video instructions (very helpful) and used others comments for removing the control panel. For the latter I used a small allen wrench to carefully wedge the bottom two indents (look from below panel edge) slightly up and forward to release the panel. Next, after removing the four screws, the assembly (housing shield) removed fairly easily. I then had full access to the flapper and removed this carefully with the pliers so as not to damage the piece it was attached to (Dispenser Door Recess Crank?). The rubber outer flange on the otherwise plastic flapper was very irregular for approx. 1/4 of the circumference and thus did not seal. So far it's been one week and no more frost build up or frozen water dispenser line.

Found the refrigerator wasn't on any longer and the lights on the display were flashing and the select buttons for ice maker no longer worked or responded to being pushed, researched online and gave a bit of a guess to change out the control board, and the new one solved the problem
Unplugged, thenRemoved cover plate on the backside of refrigerator, unclipped wire harnesses, then popped small white plastic clips that hold board in place to release, clipped new one on, plugged wire harnesses on, screwed metal cover on with remembering the ground wire and then plugged back into electrical outlet, it works fine now.

front electronic board that dispences ice and water dead
I pulled front cover and replaced the control board, it easily detaches after you remove the screws that hold it in place. After replacing it I reconnected the wire connectors and that was it pop the cover back in place and your done. Before I ordered this board I did check the voltage gong to the unit. It should have 13.5 volts dc coming to it, if voltage is present then tha board is bad.

My GE Profile refrigerator was making the clicking noise
My GE Profile refrigerator was making the clicking noise so many people on the Parts select website mentioned, but luckily was still cooling at least sporadically. The mother board I ordered came in expeditiously and I installed it in about 10 minutes. This is an easy job, made easier by the video explaining the installation provided on the website. The clicking disappeared and by the following morning the temperatures in both the fridge and freezer had stabilized. I figure I saved the cost of a new fridge, or the probable $800 or so bill to have a repairman come to the house, ( I live in NewYork where we all, particularly repairmen, charge each other double)

Ice flapper warped.
The Ice flapper was warped therefore, it was not closing well. Because of this, the ice dispenser got air in it and the ice cubes would deice causing to make a chunk of ice inside.I went on line, order the part ($5.75 + tax= $12.00) checked Part Select video and did it myself. It really is as seen on the video. It took me less than 10 minutes! I saved $200.00

Refrigerator was not cold anymore. Freezer was slightly cold
We followed the directions that was on this website. It was easy! We were happy because the refrigerator works now and we didn't have to pay for someone to come out and fix it! The part that we replaced was moldy and old. No wonder it wasn't working. Thanks so much Part Select!
