GR2SHKXKQ00 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

After watching the video it was a snap. Defrosting the freezer took the longest time. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice. Once the freezer compartment was clear of ice the removal and installation were a step by step procedure which the video showed in detail. It's been about a week since I installed the bimetal defrost thermostat and it seems to be working like new. Sure glad I researched this problem on the internet instead of calling a very expensive repairman! Thanks partselect. Com!!!

Nothing to do, just unrap shelf from delivered package, wipe clean and put in refridgerator.

After determining which part that was bad..(that was the hardest part)..I ordered the part from PartSelect..I did write down how the wires were plugged in before I unplugged them..after the parts arrived I just plugged them onto the plug on compressor and put the wires back on..very simple..fixed my problem..now the wife can quit looking on the internet for a new refrigerator..

Took out old and replaced with new shelf piece.

Followed the instructions as you said, and the You-Tube was priceless. Great idea. And thanks the refer works great.

Found Parts Select through their repair videos on You Tube. Watched a repair video and thought I can do that. Checked the refrigerator and ordered the parts. The Whirlpool parts drawings from the manufacturer were not detailed, so I ended up ordering duplicates by accident. The parts got here super fast and the repair was super simple. Used the nut driver to remove the back panel and used the screw driver to pop off the cover. I changed out the capacitor, overload and relay....all from Parts Select. I did have to use a zip tie to hold them on due to changes in parts over the years. I did custom cut the cover to allow room for the zip tie. The refrigerator started right up and began cooling. I replaced the back cover and it has been chillin' for two weeks solid. Easy repair, Great Service, Easy return of the duplicate parts. Fantastic!!!!!!
