dryer tripped the circuit breaker
disconnected the dryer; cleaned the duct. I reconnected everything and started it up again and within seconds tripped the breaker.Decided probably the thermal limiter was faulty, so ordered new one from you. After it arrived I watched video, then removed the top and front, pulled drum to give me some workroom, replaced the limiter, reassembled in reverse order.I then reset the breaker, plugged the dryer in. Runs perfect. The drum was a challenge - so I used a wooden wedge to support from the front and opened the 12 by 12 rear port to access and reset the pulley cable assembly.

Dryer squeals while running
I wanted to know why my dryer was making such an ear-piercing screech. Googled, and found Steve at PartSelect. After watching the 10 minute video on how to replace the rear drum bearing, I knew this was something we could do at home. I ordered the parts on Friday and they arrived on Monday. Also ordered a new drum belt and drum glide. Didn't know if we would need those parts, but figured while we had the dryer apart, we might as well replace them. My husband watched the 10 minute video the following Saturday, and together we replaced all 3 parts. The original bearing was small enough to fit through the hole (which it shouldn't) and metal shavings we all over the plastic holder. The large metal ball attached to the dryer had grooves worn into it. The kids we amazed, too! I can't believe the repair was so easy! Seeing the inside of the dryer makes me wonder why they cost so much! Do not hesitate to make this repair yourself. Even just one person could do it.

Rear drum bearing failure
Follow instructions all most to the letter. In video it was stated to get an assistant to hold static / housing retainer in place to start screws. I put it in place and, used Duck Tape to hold it there while i started screws. Thanks for the deal on parts and, video. I would also suggest advising to check the nylon strips on felt at the front top. Mine were worn. But there was enough at the back of nylon to remove and, glue remainder in place almost as good as new. Again! ''THANKS!''

The only probelem was to take out the drum, because it was a washer and dryer combo. the dryer was on top, i did not have any room to pull out the drum
I remove the drum, and install the bearing just like the instructions in the video.

Dryer Would Not Heat
I researched possible causes on line and watched a PartsSelect video on YouTube on how to test. I ended up misreading test results and ordered the High Limit Thermostat but subsequently realized problem was the Terminal Block. No problem, PartsSelect took back the Thermostat (I hadn't installed it) and shipped me the Terminal Block. My dryer was back up and running in less than 7 days from initial analysis to installation of Terminal Block. Instructions that came in confirmation email for installation were perfect and easy to follow. Total cost with new power cord from Home Depot was less than $50 vs a quoted service call of $175+ parts from local electrician.

Scraping noise at rear of drum
Watched video on you tube went to PartSelect web site determined it was the rear bearing from the probable causes listed. Received part in two days and the job took less than thirty minutes. The limited access to the belt motor was the only difficult part of the job but by putting the belt on the idler pulley first and pulling down on the belt I was able to get it over the motor pulley. Thanks PartSelect for making this job easier than I thought it would be.
