Removed control panel, top and front panel to access the burner, then installed the natural to LP gas conversion kit, installed steam hose, plugged the unit in and it was ready to dry clothes. We had to call GE to learn how to access the burner...there was no information in their owner's manual or online on how to do that. But GE was great...they answered phone instantly and had a service tech return our phone call within minutes. The tech easily explained how to get to where we needed to be. The rest was easy!

Loud banging/thumping noise when dryer was running. Bearings on tub rollers worn out. Poor design.
Could tell from the sound it was making that it was related to drum rotation. Searched online videos on how to disassemble this model GE Dryer. The Dryer drum rides on 4 rollers. 2 of the 4 of mine were very noticeably loose and made a similar noise when I spun them by hand. Simply replace the rollers and re-assembled.
I could type out instructions, but it's much simpler to just search for the right video online.
