FRT17G4BW9 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

I cleaned off the shelf that the drawer hangs from and removed it from the fridge. I took the philips head screw from the back of the broken support rail. Put the new one on, screwed it in and replaced the shelf and drawer.

Just removed the two screws and unpluged it.
Then I pluged the new one in and replaced the screws. It runs like a brand new reffrigerator.

the repair was simple but the real story was the easy to read blow up diagram of the refridgerator after I entered the model no. Everything was numbered and I new exactly what I was ordering.
I will definatley buy here again.

I unscrewed the old drawer support rail and installed the new one. The phone rep. was excellent. He listened to what I needed, looked up the parts for me, and sent me the correct parts the first time. I think the parts arrived within two days, much faster then I expected. First, remove shelf unit from refrigerator and lay glass side down on a large flat surface. Observe, then pay attention to assembly. Spent more time with this, drinking coffee, and playing with puppy, than the actual repair. Only had to remove and replace two
phillips head screws. Replace deli - meat drawer after shelf unit is in place in refrigerator. Check for clearance for door to close.

I Removed the old broken piece and replaced it with the new drawer support, using the screwdriver it was a very simple operation.

The first thing I did was to remove all the food from the shelf above the drawer. I removed the old support rail that is attached at the rear of the shelf by one phillips screw. I installed the new support and secured it. Partselect was a great place to purchase the part and they shipped the part quickly.

As others have noted: this is an easy repair. I spent more time clearing all of our containers of yogurt that the actually "repair."

This is a good opportunity to clean the glass shelf and so I did that after removing it. Unscrewed the back support screw, removed old rail, and installed new one. (I just used the old screw as it seemed to be in good shape).

Took longer to clear the top shelf to remove it from the refrigerator to do the repairs. Super easy!

Very, very easy problem to fix. I took the shelf that the support rails were attached to out of refrigerator. Unscrewed broke piece and screwed in new support rail and simply slid shelf back into refrigerator. Ta~Da! If I can do it, you can do it!

Removed front low grill, removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the wires. Reversed process to install new timer.

Unscrewed the screw that held the suport rail to the shilf and changed the rail. Then I screw in the new rail.
