Turn table not working and loud noise
I followed the directions posted by others - they were perfect. This was a very easy process. The screws on the motor were hard to take off because they were put on at the factory with equipment is my guess. But the process was very easy. The turn table is working. I still have the noise but now realize that is from the magntron fan, which I am not going to replace given the age of the microwave. At least my food is heated evenly with the table turning and I can live with the noise until I see the price I want to pay for a replacement microwave. Thanks all!!!

Operates but does not heat
Found blowup drawings inside unit, which helped identify what I had to remove. Had neighbor assist in lifting unit from wall mount, unit slides easily from rails once top bolts are removed. Pay attention to where all the screws go as you remove them, some inside assemblies will have to be removed or loosened. A good guideline to go by is all black screws hold internal assemblies, the bronze screws go in the back side and the chrome screws go on top, sides, and front of the unit. I was able to lift unit back on rails without any assistance.

Light sockets were disintegrating
Removed the bottom plate screws from the microwave. Disconnect the wire harness. Replacement of the light sockets is easy. The female terminal connectors that connected to the bulb sockets were corroded, so I had to go to the hardware store and get replacements for those also. Replacement of those was unexpected but straightforward.

The carousel stopped turning.
1) I unplugged the microwave. 2)I removed 5 screws which allowed the bottom of the microwave to open. 3)I unplugged the drive motor. 4) I removed 2 screws holding the bad motor and removed the motor. 5) I installed the new motor with the same 2 screws and completed the replacement by doing steps 3,2,1. I reset the clock after testing. Easy-Peasy. My mother was thrilled. She was using it that way for about a year because she thought a repair person would charge too much.

All power to the microwave went out.
PartSelect had helpful repair instructions on-line which made the repair easier and faster. Unfortunately, there were other problems with the oven that immediately blew the new fuse I had just installed. It was then determined that additional repair would most likely cost almost as much as a new microwave.

broken turntable coupler
Others said just push new coupler into hole where broken one was. This does not work. You have to take the underside of the micro to access the motor that drives the coupler. There is a screw holding the motor in. Take out screw and twist the motor to release it from holding slot. Then put coupler in hole and reattach motor. You may have to twist the motor to seat the coupler. Twist motor to replace in slot and then attach screw to hold motor in. Reattach under side. Fairly simple. Do not force the coupler into the hole without taking motor off first.
