Dishwasher would not dry dishes
The quiet power 3 has the heating element in the back, so remove the screws holding the unit in place. Remove the bottom cover and disconnect the water inlet pipe, (after turning off the water of course). Discard the copper tubing if applicable, and pull dishwasher out until you can tilt it forward. Unsrew the plastic nuts and remove the wires for the element. Test the old one to make sure that you need to replace it. When sure of the problem reinstall in the reverse order. Replace the copper with stainless steel braided line and test.

Upper Rack difficult to open
The initial problem was that the top rack was difficult to slide out. I purchased a new set of upper rollers. In order to remove the roller you must slide it off the rail. To do this, you must first remove the end cap. I broke the end original end cap trying to do this. The new roller installation was simple. So was the installation of the new end cap. Simply press it on.

The dishwasher was not filling with water
This repair was not difficult except that the part was hard to get to. You need to lay on the ground and the space is small to fit the tools in. It was especially difficult to squeeze the hose clamp on and off. If you are the handy sort and would not be intimidated by pulling the dishwasher out (like I was), then I recommend doing that. Changing the actual part was a breeze and self explanatory. Be sure to shut off the power and water supply to the dishwasher. Bring a towel to soak up residual water in the hose. Watch the video on this site, it was exactly what I needed to see! I was able to fix my mom's dishwasher! What a great feeling!

wash water not entering
took the front covers off, used om meter as suggested after disconnecting the wire plug. discovered infinity, so as suggested, determined the valve defective. Ordered over the new valve from this company. After it arrived, took the old valve off by removing it from the bracket. Used the pliers to take the hose off, then unscrewed the supply hose by usung the adjustable wrench. Took the old valve to my shop vise to hold it firmly, then unscrewed the fitting, wrapped the tape suggested and installed it on the new valve. Took it back to the dishwasher, screwed the supply hose on, slipped the hose on and the clamp, turned on the water to check for leaks. Found non, so installed the valve on the frame, turned on the power and checked for filling. Itfilled fine and operated like it was supposed to. Put the front covers back on, and enjoyed praise from wife!!!

Lower Rack wheels wil not stay on
Removed lower rack assembly from dish washer and placed on counter top upside down on a towel. Removed all eight (8) wheel studs (axles) and wheels. Installed new wheel stud/axles into the back side of the new wheels by pressing them in with hand pressure until the wheels snapped onto axles. Inserted the assembled wheels and axles onto the same studs the old wheels were on. Pressed the upper portion of the new axles onto the wire basket until they snapped into place. Re-installed lower rack assembly. This was really a snap to do. It is best to replace all of the wheels and axles at the same time, or you will be back later to replace more.

Wheels falling off on the lower rack
The wheels on the lower rack of this GE Profile dishwasher starting fallling off after 7 years of use. Eventually one broke. The original design of the stud/axle is rather faulty. Age of the plastic part caused it to soften and not clip securely to the rack. It took less than 10 minutes to pinch out the stud from the wheels and push in the new stud. (The new stud appears to be a different type of plastic, and the overall design is different and looks like it clips to the rack more securely.) If the old stud won't pinch out with your fingers, you can use a pair of needle-nosed pliers. The new clips take some force to push on to the wheels, just push down with the wheel flat on a solid surface. The wheel and stud clip easily, but securely onto the rack.
