ED5GVEXVD02 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

I began by removing the ice maker and storing the ice. The part did not come with instructions so I began taking the ice maker apart. I ran into problems rather quickly so I went to the "part select" web site and there was a video with instructions on removal and reinstallation of the auger. It was a breeze after that. These guys are obviously professionals!

We got the new drawer and it fit perfectly and look identical to our old drawer.

First stop was Lowe's Home Appliances ,where the fridge was purchased ,only to be told that they did not carry spare parts, but were most helpful in providing PartSelects web site. Once this website was accessed it was easier than picking your nose to find the desired part and place an order. With PartsSelect's efficient service the required crisper drawer was in transit and delivered by Fedex within five days.....but Fedex managed to bounce the box , putting a hole in the box and breaking the corner of the crisper pan.Like a big cry-baby we were onto PartSelect immediately , who promptly rose to the occasion and shipped a replacement part the same day . This arrived two days later and when the new crisper draw was removed from the box { this time protected by bubble wrap internally } it was as quick as ..one ...two...three...to pull our broken drawer out of the fridge and slide the pristine new Humidity Control Crisper Drawer into its rightful place....my wife thanks you , PartSelect for being there.

Ordered replacement crisper drawer on Friday and completely surprised when it was delivered on Saturday. Talk about fast service!

took front knobs off an then cover took side cover off next then disconnected themostat and replaced with new and followed the coil to side to the back of fridge an put back together. Oh by the way I unplugged the fridge first

Removed front plate of fridge, Disconnected wire harness and slid bracket out. replaced bracket and connected everything and put back plate water worked immediatley.

After replacing a broken icemaker, I determined that there was no water coming from the water inlet valve. To do that I used a barbecue fork to evenly pop the pressure washer back from the water line fitting and no water came out. After receiving the new filter it took about 15 minutes to replace the new water inlet valve. Tried to use a flat screw driver to pry the pressure washer away and broke one of them so went back to the BBQ fork and got the rest of the fittings off with no problem. popped the new fittings on. Then the electrical connectors and two screws to mount back on the fridge. Plugged it in and leak checked the fittings. Took 5 big cups of water out to get the air out of the system and now everything works.

Watched the video, took the backing off of lower part of refrigerator. Unhooked the parts just like the video showed, put new part in, and shazam! It worked!!

Took everything out of my old crisper pan. Slid the crisper pan out and put the new one in. Put everything in the new crisper pan. All set to go!

Called, ordered, received part in 3 days. Perfect

The delivery time on my repair part liked a little to be desired. It's a competitive world, people don't like to wait.

Ordered part, watched video. Had a problem with reassembly of ice crushing assembly, did a re-do as one of the blades had dislodged from the drive shaft!
