Dishwasher stopperd working
Our son brought us the gift of cockroaches! They originally colonized the control panel and caused it to malfunction. Occupied it again after I replaced it and the it quit working again - took me a minute to figure out that it was the TCO(thermal cut off) repair was fast (less than 15 minutes) and the diswasher works fine. Bugs do like electricity so make sure that you put insecticide inside your door if you have to take it apart! So far so good.

Bad bearings in motor (not pumping well) and snapped grinder drive shaft
Pretty straight forward ...if you have torex bits/drivers then you will probably have what it takes. The install video is perfect for showing you haw to swap the grinder. most lower spray bars are mounted using a CCW thread on the pivot..so be aware!! If your motor is being replaced, leave that out before you swap the motor. Motor swap out took minutes once I had disconnected the various pipes and pulled the washer from under the counter. Easy ! Lubing the rubber seal on the motor with rinse aid made this part easy..good tip. The video shows how to install the grinder (the needle nose pliers is a good trick). Make sure there are no leaks underneath before you put everything back! The "hardest" part of the entire job was removal/reattachment of the water feed nut! I used a basin wrench for this. Who ever installed my dishwasher chewed up the drain hose rubber end fitting so it took a few goes to get it to grab and seal properly, check yours when you order the other bits...cheap insurance!

Heating element needed replacement
After finding out how to replace it (on YouTube)the repair went smoother than anticipated. the difficulty was disconnecting/connecting the electrical(BX to electric hook-up to dishwasher) due to the proximity of where it was located(~1" from the floor). Other than that, the unit now works as good as the 1st day when it was bought(~6yrs ago)

Dishwasher not working due to a faulty high limit thermostat.
Using a Torx screwdriver, I removed the fasteners holding the control panel/latch section of the door on the dishwasher. I tested the high limit thermostat with a multimeter. Just two terminals, one being power in, the other power out. The part had what I have heard call a "high resistance open". In other words, the power was not getting from "A" to "B". Power in - not out. After cutting power to the unit, I removed the part (just pull it out of the retaining clip and pull the terminals from the part). After receiving the part...by the way, really fast delivery...I reconnected the part (it doesn't matter which wire goes where), pushed the part back into the retaining clip, replaced and fastened the control panel, then restored power to the unit. Runs like new.

THe chopper came off the shaft & the screen was plugged up.
The video on replacing the chopper assembly made it very easy. The only issue is that the video made it look very easy getting it into place. In reality, it took several tries to get it on the shaft & the screen into place. THE VIDEO SHOWED EXACTLY WHAT HAD TO BE DONE BUT that one step took SEVERAL attempts to get it in correctly. I finally got it in & reassembled & it works great now.

Noisy motor, worn out bearing
I followed the attached youtube video. I did not have to disconnect the wire harness. Unplugging the power cord allowed the dishwasher to be removed for repair. The bolt holding the motor in place is somewhat difficult to get to because it is behind a shield. A socket with an extension is necessary. The motor required more effort to dislodge than indicated in the video. Once the bolt is removed and the motor is rotated, wiggling and pulling was necessary to break the seal loose. Be sure to line up the arrows on the motor and collar before reinstalling.

Totally Dead, No Display or Power
Diagnosing the problem was made easy using the "8 things that could be wrong" if the dishwasher would not turn on in the "Instant Repairman" area. We were going to order the entire module replacement for $141. Then we saw the Q & A link that said the Bi-Metal Fuse had the highest percentage of repairs if exhibiting such symptoms as our machine exhibited. The price of the fuse was $25. WOW what a difference in price and yes, it did fix the problem. The help given through the "Instant Repairman" area of the website saved us from spending $141 when $25 fixed our problem. We have ordered several parts but didn't know about the the "Instant Repairman". We will never again NOT use it to diagnose a problem.

Upper Wash Arm Came Off
With a flat blade screwdriver, pry up gently on the Upper Rack Track, pull out the end caps, and remove the rack. Pull the Feed Tube down out of the clip in the ceiling, Install the Upper Wash Arm on the Feed Tube, insert the Push-In Screw from below and push the Screw Cover down from above to snap everything together.

I also replaced the Lower Spray Arm Seal. First remove the Lower Dish Rack then remove the Lower Spray Arm by grasping the Lower Spray Arm Support/Hub and twisting the arm counter-clockwise to unscrew it, Pull the arm and hub out, now twist the Rear Feed Cap clock-wise to dislodge the Feed Tube and disconnect the cap. The seal is underneath.
