Loud screeching dryer noise
This was a very easy job. It was like snapping Lego pieces together. I ended up taking more time because I took the time to clean the orher parts while it was open. Took about 30 minutes total. Please make sure you know where the electrical wires are located at the bottom of unit. If you take the whole front panel off some of the wires may come off. There is not much documentation on the wiring so be cafefiul. Take a pic if you can. I watched the videos on YouTube from this site before starting. Just want to add that I am not a mechanic of any type. This is an easy job.

Would Not Turn On
We ordered the part and I remember coming to this website and reading the reviews. So when my husband came home we pulled out the dryer and we unscrewed the back of the top plate. We then took the needle nose pliers totake the wire off which there are three of them just remember when changing the switch where the red wire goes instead of going uotop it goes on the bottom. After that we were done and I would say that it took about 15 minutes. When doing this make sure unplug the dryer before you do anything.

Replaced the start switch and knob..first of all I unplugged the dryer (this is a must when replacing electrical components) then I took the two screws off the back of the dryer top cover and turned the start switch in a counter clockwise fashion. It popped off, then I unplugged the 4 wires and plugged into the new start switch. I then turned the switch onto the clips in the opposite fashion and it clicked into place. I then put the cover back on, replaced the two screws, pushed the knob onto the start switch, plugged the dryer back in and it started right up.
