Dryer made a contstant clunking/banging noise
I watched the repair video prior to beginning. Really helped me have the tools I needed on hand. Replacing the blower fan eliminated the noise. Shop vac was used to clean out the build up of lint and other debris. Also found about a buck worth of change.

Noise due to worn belt.
I followed the directions in the excellent(!) video. The only thing I did a little differently is that I threaded the belt through the pullies by reaching through the back panel. That seemed easier. It all went very smoothly. It was only because of the great video that I attempted the repair.

I watched the vidio but after begining the repair,I realized that the drum roller could be replaced without removing the tumbling drum. This made the replacement go even faster & easier. Great website. Great vidio. I'll be back, given the age of this dryer.

Drum Support Roller failing & binding (noisily) on its shaft
Followed the repair steps provided in the PartSelect video for the dryer! Piece-of-Cake! Trickiest step is reattaching the belt to the idler wheel (blind), but with analysis of how it goes before the drum is reinstalled, it can be done straightforwardly. Happy repairs!

Screeching Noise when dryer running
Isolated problem by watching videos on your website;ordered two new rollers, one idler pulley, and new drive belt (unit is almost 19 years old).Disassembly was easy; roller replacement easy (added grease to shafts), had to get rear access to replace idler pulley and install new belt.Used a long screw driver to get leverage to get belt rolled over on to the drive wheel. Zipped it up, turned it on, and it ran quiet as a churchmouse. Your site has it all; drawings, parts/descriptions, troubleshooting videos...nice little project. Thanks, John P.

Loud Rattle On Start Up And Shut Down And A Grumble While Running
At first I could not figure out how to get into the dryer. My brother inlaw bobby had the same issue with there dryer and told me how to remove the front of the dryer by first removing the two screw on the bottom front of the dryer. Once the front was off the rest was easy. Just a couple of pieces to remove on the inside and I was at the fan. Just as he said, the plastic fan was worn out where it slides onto the motor shaft. The only special tool I needed was a small snap ring plier to remove the snap ring on the motor shaft, other than that it was easy. Thanks to bob he saved us buying a new dryer. Maybe get a few more years out of this one.
