Blower wheel broken and rubbing on housing.
Removed front of dryer, first the lower then the upper front covers. Removed front drum support, front blower housing cover. Removed belt, and then motor with housing and blower wheel attached. Broke wheel and cover off motor, placed motor in vise to remove threaded nut from motor drive shaft (nut was seized). Reinstalled motor and belt. Installed new housing and blower wheel. Reassembled dryer. Note if old blower wheel had come off repair would have taken half the time and been significantly easier to perform.

Squeaky dryer
Parts arrived the next day, yes, that was super fast. All parts were as ordered, much appreciuated. The dis-assembly was the hard part, getting the dryer open and figuring out how to remove the panels was hard because it was unfamiliar. I watched the videos prior to starting the work which were a reall big help. Actually, I would not have even tried this if it were not for the videos. After seeing the videos, I thought to myself, I could do that. The repair solved the problem 100%. Also, got a chance to really clean out the dryer vents and other areas. THANKS!

The squealing dryer dilemma
At first - my dryer started softly squealing when it was running. Then it got louder, and LOUDER, finally it was so loud - I had to go outside if it was running. A little diagnostic work helped me figure out that I needed to repair the idler pulley. While I was at it, I decided to replace the drum support rollers and the drum glides. The parts were about $40 total, and they arrived in two days. TWO DAYS! I only needed two tools to do the repair - a nut driver, and a pair of slip ring pliers. It took longer to figure out how to take the dryer apart than it did to make the repair. It didn't come apart the way most of the videos I watched showed - but I eventually figured it out. Once I removed a few nuts - everything was easy. The parts were replaced in two minutes - it was THAT simple. The hardest part was putting the drum belt back in place, threading it through the pulley. I had to watch the video three times, to understand how it was supposed to weave. But - it was a simple repair, and I probably saved myself $150-200. I'd use this website without hesitation, for any future repair. If you're handy, you can do this stuff.

Trying to figure out how the top & front panel came apart.
I watched a PartSelect video of my repairs on YouTube which helped but they make it seem very easy and it was more difficult to perform. The videos do help.

Dryer Would Not Start But Light Up
Followed the video from the same web site. If you don't think you can do the repair you are wrong. I ordered the two parts suggested just in case it was one or the other. Cost plus shipping was under $35. Helpful hint tackle the high limit thermal fuse first that's what was wrong with our dryer. If anything you have a good door switch on hand and still well ahead of the game. I'm glad my wife made me order it. Easy install. I sure it would have cost a hell of a lot more just to get some one to look at it and then fix it. I'm the type to just pay the money to get it fixed.

Noise on start up for several minutes
Noise sounded like a pulley noise so I decided to replace the drum rollers and belt and idler lever pulley. The problem was the idler lever pulley but it was a good idea to replace the other parts while the unit is apart. Not a difficult repair. Thanks for your video on how to replace parts.

drum not turning
Pretty easy, popped off the top of the dryer, removed 2 screws from the front cover and 2 wires for the door switch, there is the drum support and air exchanger, 3 phillips screws in the air exchanger, pull that out and 4 screws in the drum carrior, remove that and clean up drum, glue on seal, and reverse process.

Screeching-metal on metal!
Thanks to all the comments and instructional video this 'Mom' was able to chose a couple of parts that I felt would fix the noise and replaced them myself! Took me closer to 2 hours due to the top on my dryer came off a little different than in the video and you definitely need the ring pliers if your are replacing the Drum Support Rollers! So borrow or buy a pair if you don't own them before you start :) Now I don't have to turn the dryer off to get my headache (from the screeching/squeaking) to stop. Quiet! Love It!

hum from motor, drum stopped
Motor bearing was shot - in and out play on the spindle, loud hum from motor and cut out after a couple minutes. Was a bad roller that put too much strain on motor I guess. Well, actually there wasnt much left of the old roller - most of it had been ground to black dust...No problems swapping motor, all rollers, belt and shafts out, although you have to pay attention to how the motor was positioned on the original. It will only fit tightly enough to let the snap-rings close when the motor is correctly positioned. On mine that meant that the multi-plug was rotated a little further than the old one, now it bumps the bottom of the dryer nearly. In short, don't try and force the snaps closed around the bearing collars. If they don't go with only moderate effort on a flat blade screwdriver, then it's incorrectly positioned. Hopefully get another 15 years on this dryer now !
