A buzzing noise coming from compressor area lasting 8-10 seconds followed by a click.
My 8 year old Maytag side-by-side started having a buzzing sound coming from the compressor area that lasted around 8 to 10 seconds which was followed by a "click" sound. It would repeat every 3 minutes or so. From what I read, the Overload/Relay with Start Capacitor was the likely culprit. I got it replaced tonight but unfortunately, the same problem is occurring. The downside is I likely have a bad compressor (not worth replacing after cost of parts and labor) and wasted $60 on the Overload/Relay with Start Capacitor. Partselect's service though I would say is top notch. I received the part within two days of placing the order and my order confirmation email even had a link to a youtube video detailing the installation. That was very helpful. I just wish I was looking at a $60 fix vs a grand for a new fridge! Oh well, live and learn....and no more Maytag.

Compressor having hard time kicking on
I simply watched the repair video and did it! Super easy, needed start device and capacitor. As easy as unplugging the old and adding the new. The video helped and gave me confidence. Wives can fix fridges too! Saved me $2500. Looks like I'll need a new excuse if I want a new fridge.

Blinking control panel lights ice flapper opening/closing
Pulled out unpluged ref. took off panel door in back with nut drivers , removed clear plastic panel cover from tabs, pulled the 4 release clips on wiring harness connectors from HVB, no need to mark them as they are matching connectors and cord lengths. Using your flat blade screwdriver, push the small fingers on one of the tabs away from the HVB and using
your finger, or the 2nd flat blade screwdriver, GENTLY pry the side of the HVB toward you enough to clear
the fingers on the tab.Repeat the last step for the 2nd tab holding the HVB in place
GENTLY and evenly pull the left hand side of the HVB out of the clip and then slide it out from the slots on the right. Installation is just the reverse of removal. Programing the code took longer than the remove/install procedure , we wound up using the old 4 digit code inside the refrigerator, you also need to have both doors open during the code process and it would not take the numbers right off it seemed to have the need to accept the new part for like 10-15 minutes . It's been in a week now and no problems sure beats paying $300+ for the maytag repair man.

Pin was broken
Removed all three drawers and the glass shelves. Unscrewed the pantry end cap and disconnected the humidity control parts (no tools needed for this part) and installed them on the new part. Screwed the new end cap to the refrigerator and installed the glass shelf, the drawers and the lift up cover for the bottom drawer. This is a first for me to respond to a request for information on installation. I do so because I found the entire process easy, convenient, accurate and the part was delivered as promised. Thanks for a new "favorite".

Drawer lid tab broken
It was very easy. Remove the lid and drawer. Remove the pantry end cap screws then remove the assembly. You will need to remove the long arm that controls the temp, take note as how it fits in the clips. Next, carefully twist the temp control, again taking note on how it came out. Assemble the same way in reverse, start with the control, then the arm, then screw it back into place.

Broken crisper lid pin
I followed the instructions that I got from this site. Removed the drawers and glass shelf which opens up a lot of room to work. I would have been through a lot sooner but it took me a few minutes to figure out that the bar on the rear wall of the refrigerator is the is the key to removing the control slide on the fornt of the panel. Once you remove that bar and remove it from the slide on the side of the panel you can then remove everything. Once I figured that out it was a snap.

Water dispencer, ice maker and refrigerator not working
I replaced the low voltage board behind the water dispenser and the dual water valve but this did not correct the water/ice problem. The freezer worked great but the refrigerator did not work at all. I replaced the Motor Fan and this did not fix the problem. The last thing to replace was the high voltage electric board in the back. This fixed all the problems. All the parts were very easey to replace. Amd the directions that came with the parts and on the web site we great.

My refrigerator light did not work.

Hinge snapped off the pasntry end cap disabling the deli door
This is the second order we have placed from Partselect. It arrived within two days as promised. The repair took about ten minutes and consisted of removing the deli drawer, removing the broken end cap, removing the slide rail from the end cap, cleaning out the area with a sponge, attaching the slide rail to the new end cap and installing the new end cap. The deli drawer easily slides onto the rails and the deli door easilt locks into place within the side rails. We were unable to locate the part locally and from now on, Partselect will be the first place we look for an appliance replacement part.
