Left side door spring broke
It was very easy to replace the broken door spring, I received the new spring from PartsDirect in two days. I removed the 6 screws holding the dishwasher to the counter and pulled it out from the counter about a foot, no need to disconnect the power and water. I simply replaced the broken spring using the right side spring as a guide. I pushed the dishwasher back in and reinstalled the screws. I completed this repair in less than 20 minutes.
No repair needed, just inserted the new dishrack. My only complaint is the lack of upright tongs in half of the rear section of the rack. This limits the number of dishes that can be stored. My original rack had tongs in all areas which better suited my needs. If there is a replacement that better suits my needs I would like an exchange.
The dishwasher handle was broken. This has happened before, a few years ago. It was over 150.00 to fix
This was incredibly easy. First of all the part came in just a few days and I could have had it earlier if I wanted expedited shipping. I turned off the main power to the dishwasher from the fuse box. I used a screwdriver to take the screws out of the door, unplugged the handle (literally one piece) and plugged the new one in, replaced the screws in the door and DONE! The part was 50.00 and I saved 100.00 in labor. If I can do this anyone can. They have a nice tutorial on you tube as well.
Removed two screws at the top of the base washer. Three screws removed down both sides of the base washer. Lifted washer out enough to see the cable and spring connections. Removed cable and replaced with new and re-connected. Slid washer back into position and installed screws.
I watched a couple of videos on Youtube, and for once it was actually easier than anticipated. Unplug unit. Remove door screws. Separate inner door from outer door. Remove connector from dispenser (needed flat blade screwdriver to pry it at first.) Remove six screws holder dispenser in. Removed old dispenser, inserted new one, tightened six screws, re-connected wires, attached inner door to outer door, and was done in literally less than 10 minutes. Note: I was using a battery powered screw driver to remove the screws, so that's one reason why it went so fast.
Turned off electricity to dishwasher before starting. Very important. Removed screws on door with torx screwdriver. Was unable to separate wire assembly from old handle manually and paused, a little frustrated and not wanting to break anything. Put nose of needle nose pliers between wire assembly and handle, pulled pliers apart and they popped right off. Replaced with new handle and finished the job. Works like a charm and saved hundreds on a new appliance. Very satisfied with this site!
Pull dishwasher about 1/2 out of cabinet. Remembered to turn off power just in time. Removed electrical leads. Hand removed nuts retaining the heating element. Installed new element - hand tightened nuts.
MAKE SURE ELECTRICITY TO DISHWASHER IS OFF!!! If dishwasher is installed directly wired, TURN OFF THE BREAKER!!! Undo the inside plastic door molding....remove the old latch and install the new one! Easy to install! Wife is very happy!
I removed the shelves out of the dishwasher unsnapped the old parts and snapped in the new! Replaces the shelves and it is washing like a new machine! Thanks!
I turned offf the power to the dishwasher, then removed about 10 screws to separate the inner door panel from the outer panel. I disconnected wires from 4 terminals, attached them to the new latch assembly and reinstalled the inner panel. The web site was easy to use, but I had reason to call your service people. The lady I talked with was especially helpful. I have bookmarked your web site and would order again, when necessary.
The old docking station seals were getting very soft. To put a band aid on the wound until the new docking station got here I put a sleve on the washer bar feeder tube. This made an improvement. The docking station was removed using a screw driver to unsnap the station. Then all I had to do was snap the new one in. Be care ful not to pull on the piece the docking station is snapped on to. There are metal clips behind there that hold that water delivery tube on to the back of the dishwasher. Those clips are twisted on and can be striped off easily by pulling strait towards you. If that happens you must secure the clips using self tapping screws and a water proof sealent.
