Please be aware the basket shown on this site is the original basket that came with the dishwasher. The basket they sent is not original. It is the dark grey basket found on every other site when searching for this item. You can save yourself some cash buying this non original basket from at least a half dozen other sites.

Stripped threads on plastic motor shaft

  • Customer: charles from Orange TX
  • Difficulty: A Bit Difficult
  • Time to Complete: 30 - 60 mins
  • Tools Required: Screw drivers

I watched the youtube video and followed the steps. The first time I tried it without taking the motor out because I didn't want to spill water on the floor, but I wasn't able to tighten the new motor shaft all the way so nothing lined up and it didn't work. Second time I followed instructions exactly and it worked like a charm. This is the second repair I have made to this dishwasher that was given to me for free because the door latch was broken. I fixed that problem for around $12.00. This time it broke because something metal got jammed in the motor causing the threaded shaft to strip. This repair cost around $80.00. Still the cheapest, nicest dishwasher that I could ask for. A+++ for partselect.com on price, service, and delivery. Thanks.

Really easy repair. Opened dishwasher, removed about 10 or so torx screws, lifted plastic panel covering handle. Removed electrical connections to handle switches (unplugged dishwasher power cable first!), installed new handle. Worked perfectly. I figure for 30 bucks, I just bought myself a little more time before new dishwasher. Would definitely buy from this company again.
