Evaporator coils frozen solid / refrigerator not cooling
Required about 20 minutes with hair dryer to melt ice from coils. Ohmed out heater at 30 ohms. Noted (as others have) that defrost thermostat was bulged out on one end. Reassembled and ordered replacement thermostat. Received part in three days. Kit contained all parts required for replacement - wires were color coded for easy replacement. Cut both brown and orange wires and used supplied crimp connectors to splice in new thermostat (will need crimpers). Reassembled unit. Actual time to replace part was about 15 minutes. Plastic grill has indications on both sides where to insert a screwdriver to release tabs holding it in place (there is also a tab in the center which is not marked).

After several defrost thermocouple replacements, and determining the frig was running constantly, the freezer was not freezing, but full of ice behind the back panel, the frig was not chilling, the entire refrigerator was constantly running, non-stop, and after doing a bit more research on-line, I d
Thanks for the control board. However, it arrived in two days not overnight, UPS noted on their tracking site the error was their own. Also, the part did not come with installation instructions or programming instructions. Found on youtube a video that described in detail the programming procedure: . . . . . very helpful.

Thanks,
Marc

Freezer Super Cold, Fridge Hot. Ice on the back of freezer door.
I initially thought the defrost heater or sensor were bad and replaced them. About a week later the problem reappeared. I ordered the control board assembly and after arrival I did the following: Went on-line, located the part on the fridge parts diagrams and figured out how to remove the controller cover (use two flat screwdrivers from behind). After the cover removal unplug the two connectors and lift out the sensor from its mount. Remove the LED Display/Button Board then the microcontroller board. They literally lift out. With the new controller you have to gently break the display board from the controller - the board is scribed along the break-away area. Do this on a flat surface. The actual board installation and hook-up took less than 5 minutes to reassemble. MAKE SURE THE REFRIGERATOR IS UMPLUGGED - I should have said that FIRST.
