took two screws out and unplugged wires. Had to curl up ends of element so they would short out. plugged wires back on new element and replaced mounting screws.

The part came in record time! All I needed to do was remove the old one taking out 2 screws and replace with the new element! Put 2 screws in and it was ready to go! Thank You for the super fast shipping!

The ~60 minute time frame resulted because of: Locating & Turning off the Circuit Breaker (40 amp) in the Electrical Panel Box to the Oven (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR SAFETY); Removing the Old Bake Element; Using a OHM Meter to Check the "Continuity" of the Old Bake Element to make sure that it was defective; Ordering the New Unit from Parts Select; Installing the New Bake Element and Calibrating the Oven Temperature Settings with a New Oven Thermometer. This was done for Safety and Cooking Reasons to ensure that the Oven would not overheat and was heating correctly. OTHER REPAIR HINTS FYI: I had to use a 1/4" Socket with a Ratchet to remove the Screws which were "frozen" in place; Upon installing the same screws I found that a Portable Hand Held Electric Ratchet worked great because of the "Arm Stretch" into the Oven; I secured the Power Wires that attach to the Bake Element i.e. to prevent them from slipping into the Oven Wall by securing them in place with a "loop" of #14 Romex Wire; Lastly, using pliers, I "VERY Lightly" compressed the electrical Spade Connectors (Female) from the Power wires onto the Bake Element Male Connectors to make sure that the wires were secure and could not easily disconnect.

When I got the part I removed the tin cover (two screws)on the back of the range. I removed the sensor by removing the two screws inside the oven and pulled out the sensor. taking the instructions advise, I checked the sensor with my ohm meter and although it read 1.1 ohms as compared with the recommended 1.09 ohms at room temperature in the instructions, went ahead and changed the unit. The connector did not fit my particular model so I spliced the wiring and using the two included wire nuts made the connection. I reinstalled the sensor, reattached the gas line, plugged it in and tried the oven before I put it back in place. The oven works great now and it was super easy.

This was my second time installing a new Bake Element, I am a 67 year old female, if I can do this anyone can. Used a pair of pliers, unscrewed screws pull out burned out element, release from wires, connected new bake element, pushed back in inserted screws...that easy all done.

Followed the video step by step, made the job simple and easy. Did not know there were springs attached to the lower part of hinge till watching video. Parts were genuine GE manufacturer parts which fit perfectly. Very helpful staff and great customer service. My model number did not match perfectly with others listed but the hinge part is identical.

Pull the door off the hinges. pull drawer out of range.Take sping off both frame and hinge arm. Unscrew three screws holing hinge in palce. pull old hinge out , put new hinge in . reinstall screws, spring, drawer , and door. Get the wife to make cookies.

Followed YouTube video from PartsSelect. It was real easy to do and that video was helpful. Took off door by sliding it up off hinges, disconnected springs, unscrewed hinges & slid them out - reversed to install. Worked perfect, parts were exactly right and parts came within 2 days.

1. Turned off breaker (Important!) => 2. Removed two (2) metal screws from element mount (1/4" socket or nutdriver) => 3. Pulled element out enough to disconnect wire connections from element (I bent mine up a little to keep them from disappearing back into the holes!) => 4. Connected each wire to new element then re-installed element into position => 5. Re-installed to metal screws (Do not over tighten!) => 6. Turned breaker back on then turned on oven. Element heated up quickly! You may notice a slight smell of something burning when you first turn it on, but that's normal and will fade quickly. Repair completed and $$$ saved!

My brother -in-law unscrewed the old one , lifted it out. Put the new one in , clicked the wires back in , and replaced the screws. Did it all in about 5 minutes with one tool. Super easy!!

Used Phillips screw driver, installed guide, applied lubricant.

the original path was from the right front control knob around the back of the range and left side of range,which i dismantaled to install the new wires to the right front burner. When I found them to be to short I had to also dismantal the right side so the wires could be routed there. The new wires worked fine but did take some extra time.

#1 I turned off power to stove. Removed two hex head screws that hold burner in place. Next carefully pulled burner out & disconnected the two electric wires that supply power to burner & hooked the wires to the new burner. Then carefully push new burner into place & install the two hex head screws that hold burner in place. Turn power back on to stove & the stove should be turned on for a short time to let the new oily smell burn off the new burner. Then you are finished & stove is ready to use.

Unscrewed mounting plate from back of oven, disconnected spade terminals from old element. Reconnected spade terminals to new element, secured mounting plate w/2 screws...done.
