No power at controls
Thought it was the control panel. Searched online, found you. Learned it was Bi-Metal Fuse. Received part in 2 days. Replaced in ten minutes. Wife is thrilled and I'm happy I didn't have to pay a service guy $150+ to knock on my door, plus parts and labor! WIN! Telling all my friends about this site! Keep it up!!

Upper wash arm spinner had broken off.
These directions are for Whirlpool dishwasher model # DU1055XTVB8. The steps below might be slightly different if you have a different model dishwasher.

1. Turn the electrical power off.

2. Remove both the lower and upper racks from inside the dishwasher. To remove the top one, it is necessary to remove the plastic stops at the end of each track. Push in on the tab on each of these stops and lift them up to remove. The lower rack has no stops and just slides out.

3. Put a towel on the bottom of the dishwasher (to catch any parts that might fall).

4. Remove the Philips screw from the top of the feed tube (the plastic part onto which the spinner attaches).

5. Pull down slightly on the feed tube and remove the plastic fastener (which holds the spinner in place) from the top of the feed tube.

6. Insert a new plastic fastener (with its head up) into the hole of the feed tube. Position the spinner under the feed tube and then snap the spinner and new plastic fastener together.

7. Reinstall the Philips screw into the top of the feed tube.

8. Remove the towel and put the racks back inside the dishwasher.

9. Turn electrical power back on.

Under Counter Anti-Tip Brackets Broke
I put this unit in about 3 years ago and the brackets broke at the crease and the dishwasher fell forward. Found the right bracket and when it arrived looked a match. Checked link to video showing how to properly install the brackets. The original manufacturer never stated that the tab that goes through the frame is supposed to be bent 90 degrees to prevent the bracket from coming out. Thank you PartSelect for that video because I would probably end up ordering brackets again in a few years.

Having previously viewed your video, I removed the two stops on the support bar, slid out the rack, quickly removed the broken parts and replaced them with new parts, reassembled everything and was done in less that 5 minutes. Thanks for the product and how to do the repair. Oh yeah, the missus is very, very happy and has commented on how nice it is to have rack working as it should.

Dishwasher seemed to have no power, would not respond to any buttons, no lights, would not run.
Turned off the circuit breaker to the dishwasher. Removed the screws inside the door to open the control panel. Located the thermal fuse. Removed the wires from the thermal fuse. Using a multimeter verified the thermal fuse was open. Ordered the replacement part from part select. Order was placed on a Saturday evening. Part was at my door on Wednesday morning. Using the previous method to access the control panel, I removed the thermal fuse and replaced it with the one received. I choose to replace just the thermal fuse and not cut the wire and splice in the new wire that came in the package. Replaced the control panel, tightened the screws. Dishwasher has worked great ever since! The actual replacement of the thermal fuse took less than 15 minutes. I'd hate to think what a service call and repair would have cost me compared to doing the repair myself.

Dishwasher does not drain
To adequately access the drain motor pulling the dishwasher out was required which was the hardest part. Once the dishwasher was out and laid on the back, replacing the motor took about one minute(Very easy, one clip and a small electrical plug)

As soon as dishwasher started it would stop.
I did the repair on the Whirlpool Dishwasher(Quiet Partner II) as shown on the instruction video. With this particular unit you may only have to remove the top 6 screws. The video was excellent in directions. Hardest part to me was shaving the wires, i mistakenly cut them when removing the outer covering. But was a little worried after completed because it cut off again after i first turned it on. But did a second time and it actually completed a wash. And have been working fine for past 13 days. So far so good. Just for someone to look at it and fix was going to cost me $269. I completed job myself for 30something dollars with expedited shipping. So you do the math... Thanks Part Select. Love the website set up.
