researched whirlpool and online resources for NO WATER IN DISHWASHER
Thanks to all the people who video their repairs and such. Found the part number from whirlpool online resource then ask you tube for video of anyone who had this issue with this part and video taped their repair. Found video then went online to see where can I purchase this part. I chose Part Select. The part came in within a few days. Went back to video and watched as I replaced the part. Not one issue came up. If only all issues in life could be solved so easily.
Turned off circuit breaker. Disconnected water line and electric line. Removed the dishwasher from under counter top. placed dishwasher on its back. removed old (broken) inlet valve assembly. Replaced with new. Reversed procedure to re-install.
I took out the valve by loosing one screw, and to water hoses that were connected to valve with scrunchy metal things that came off with pliers. I read the part serial number to the guy at PartSelect. I got it in the mail within 3 days. I put it back in the opposite of taking it out. Worked great!
repairman replaced the valve inlet; first website tried to tell me I needed a new pump, but repairman said it would be some type of valve; service rep on phone very helpful,I ordered the correct part, except for having to lay on the floor, he repaired it easily; part came within 24 hours. Worked immediately. No additional tubes or parts needed.
