blade wouldn't rotate
All I had to do was replace the part! Service was excellent! Ordered the part and had it the next day and my blender was up and running!!

The driver (coupling) on my Kitchenaid Blender disintegrated.
I decided to see if I could dislodge the faulty coupling. I placed a screw driver under the coupling and pushed up. It dislodged. Subsequently I found a youtube video that indicated that was exactly what I should do.
