ice maker leaking and freeing into icebergs`
easy enough, removed 3 screws, unplugged wiring harness, put new unit on work bench, put old wire harness on new unit, put old motor cover on new unit,(the only trouble i had was figuring out how to swap the light blue plastic piece for the white plastic piece, i just put a screwdriver underneath and applied pressure) plugged harness back into freezer, turned water back on and waited... 2 hours later heard beautiful ice cubes dropping into tray :)

inlet valve leaked water after installation
The ice maker was easy but the older Maytag inlet valves are rigid plastic line- make sure that line is properly connected to back of fridge- the 1st night the water leaked down back of freeze- thus no ice in ice maker tray ----but the bottom of freezer was full of frozen water--- took ice maker off and realigned inlet pipe- once that was done- no more problems- ( did also have to take hair dryer and remove all ice build up in bottom of freezer --- remember to check that rigid line as it can become detached while changing out ice maker assembly- thx Greg

Had to completely remove the ice maker in order to install the replacement part
Sorry for delay in writing. Part I ordered arrived two days ago and it was exactly what I needed. Knowing that there will be problems even with the smallest job I procrastinated starting. When I did start this morning I foud I had to completely remove the ice maker and disassemble it in order to install the water fill cup bracket. The challenge was reassembling the unit. Not hard for an experienced repairman but a challenge for layman. Everything is thing is back to gether now and power on cooling down the refrigerator. Won't know how successful it was until turn on water and ice is formed. If it works this saved $75 just to get a Sears repairman to come out and tell me what would be needed to fix the refrigerator and $1,000 if I had to buy a new refrigerator. Extremely satisfied with service I received. Thank you.

broken hinge pin
Lift drawer off sliders. Remove two screws holding drawer slider. Remove two screws holding left side pantry end cap. Screw new end cap into place. Screw draw slide into place. Replace drawer. It was a quick repair and finding the replacement part was real easy since the right side end cap needed replacing last year for the same problem. Weak design, but that's another story.

Right Side End Cap door hinge pin broke from the plastic
Very easy as described by everyone else here. One tricky part slowed me down a bit. When you try to remove the End Cap after removing the screws you find that it is connected to the climate control bar on the rear part of the fridge cabinet. There is no screw connection, just a tab on the end of the piece, near the center of the cabinet. Just pull the End Cap away from the side, pivoting the entire unit toward the center of the fridge. This will allow the tab to slide out of the opening in the back.

Plastic hinge broken off.
Remove two hanging drawers (fruit and vegetable). Remove top glass and two supports for the chef's pantry. Removed chef's pantry. Remove three large screws from the pantry end cap (front, middle and rear). The end cap can now be removed. NOTE: The pantry drawer slide will still be attached to the end cap. Once the end cap is removed detach the rail by removing two smaller screws. TIP: Use either a nut driver or socket verses a screw driver it works out better. At this point replace the end cap and install in reverse of removal.
