Light switch inoperative
Remove inside door trim plate. Then removed three screws that held in the light assembly. The only difficult thing was reconnecting the temperature adjustment rod. After replacing this rod you must slide the temperature control slide to midway and this hold the rod in place while reinstalling the light assembly. If I were to do it again it would probably take me half as long.

I have two drawers, both had the long shelf stud broken
I followed the video instructions, which were wonderful! Thank you for that. I removed the shelves, then turned each stud counterclockwise a quarter of a turn and worked them out. I would have been able to finish in 15 min. Or less, but one of the studs crumbled, leaving only the wire; so I grabbed the wire with the pliers and was able to work the old stud out after several minutes. I placed the new studs into the holes and turned them clockwise until they snapped in place. What a quick and easy fix!

Motor coupling broken and auger bent due to a jam
The new auger looks nothing like the older one it replaced but rest assured the part fits and it works better than the original. Once I figured out the LH stamped on the motor coupler meant left hand thread the repair was a breeze. It's a lot easier if you remove the motor assembly from the freezer and let it come to room temperature before starting the repair.

the auger broke
It was pretty easy, but I sure wish they had said the auger had "left" hand thread. After I watched a vid on youtube the job went very easy. The new auger works just fine. The only problem I had was the left handed thread with the plastic nut on the end of the auger. Well worth the effort now I can get ice reguulary.,All the parts fit too.

Ice bin auger drum had broken
Removed the auger apparatus from the ice bin, replaced the auger drum and then reattached the auger apparatus to the bin. Cause of breakage was due to ice melting in the bin and then refreezing. Keeping the many parts in the correct order on the auger can be difficult.

refrigerator too cold
unplug the refrigerator, remove all the items on top shelf, remove the face plate with small screw driver, pry only at the top; remove the screw for the trough and the screw on the louver housing the remove these parts; remove the face plate with small screw driver, pry only at the top and remove;use a 1/4 nut driver and remove the 2 screws in the rear top and the 2 in the front of the panel then unplug the connector at the top left by squeezing the tabs, at this point take 2 pieces of wire and put in the front screw holes to let the control assembly hang down about 4 inches, this will be adequate to prevent damage to the louver linkage assembly; then reach in to the styrofoam louver housing and remove the section of thermostat bulb tube , it is held on by 6 clips, and release the 2 clips inside the control housing to free the sensor tube on the old thermostat, remove the 2 small screws that hold the thermostat with a short phillips screw driver , pull out slightly and remove the 3 wires with needle nose plyers, noting the colors, at this point the thermostat is completly free; straiten the old thermostat tube out for easy removal of the plastic tube, staighten the new tube for easy installation of the tube noting that the bulb is about 1/2/inch from the end of the end of the tube at this point instalation is reverse of removal , be carefull not to put any sharp bends in the tube upon installation or this may damage the effectivness of operation.
