Ice maker started leaking water until I had a large iceberg and no cubes
Spent six hours melting the ice berg, twenty minutes cleaning things up and ten minutes replacing the ice maker. The video was great the only piece of information that was missing was a statement that it may that several hours for ice to be produced. Thanks for the prompt and courteous support during ordering, a good product and support video.

Ice dispenser door hinge inop
1. Remove the ice-maker/water dispenser cover plate located on the freezer door, by: inserting a putty knife blade at the bottom and freeing up the two retainer tabs; then pushing up. (note: be careful pulling the cover plate, there are many electrical connections on the back).

2. Note the electrical connections on the back of the cover plate and locate the connect close to the inside of the freezer door and disconnect it. (Note: this is much easier than pulling each wire off its connection point and then having to remember which color coded wire went where).

3. Carefully work the door hinge pin back out to the right and remove it and the hinge (Note: in my case the pin was already half way out so the old door couldn't close - and since this model door had a heater which came on because the door was misaligned there was constant flow of warm upwards causing ice to melt, run down and re freeze thus making the door difficult to open).

4. Unscrew the single her head screw holding the small metal piece to the right that retains the know upon which the outer door frame turns. Move the frame to the right to free it and work it out if the way. You now have access to the ice-maker door and hinge pin assy.

Water overflow from ice maker turns ice in tray into block
Symptom: The ice maker was making ice, but sometimes the water would run and overflow at the entrance of the ice maker, spilling water into the ice catch and turning all of the ice into a huge block. The problem was that the liner of the ice maker had started to flake off, but only on part of the unit. When water would flow into the ice maker, the exposed part would freeze quickly, creating an ice dam and block the rest of the water from flowing into the other trays, thus overflowing. Solution: A new ice maker unit was ordered online, then after watching the video on how to fix, the process was straightforward and fairly simple. There is one screw to remove, 2 to loosen, and a wire harness to remove to remove the ice making unit. Then the ice full bar was removed from the old unit and put onto the new unit and the entire assembly replaced inside the freezer. The most difficult part of the job was loosening the screws by touch as there isn't a lot of room to see.

ice tray leaked forming blocks of ice in the ice tray
It was so simnple that I let my wife do the repair. All she had to do was to turn of the water supply and unplug the refrig. loosen two screws on top and remove one screw on the bottom of the ice maker. Gentle tilt the unit in order to unplug the electric connection on the rear of the unit and then take it out. The new unit went back the same way in reverse order.

Water Dispenser Nozzle Broken, Plastic Switch Housing Broken
Unplug appliance before making this repair and if necessary, turn water off to dispenser/ice maker. 1. Locate two slots in the bottom of the dispenser cover and pry off with a screwdriver. Remove the cover to gain access to the dispenser. 2. Unplug electrical connections to remove mount assembly, remove tape holding wire assembly. 3. Carefully slide the ice and water mini switches out of plastic mount. 3. Remove the two screws holding the mount assembly 4. Remove and replace plastic mount, re-taping wiring assembly and re-attaching water and ice switches. 5. Re-attach assembly using the two screws and carefully re-attach the cover, snapping it into place. If the water line has to be replaced, before reattaching the assembly and dispenser cover, 1. Remove the screw holding the nozzle, 2. cut the nozzle off (it won't fit through the door opening) 3. Attach the new water line to the old where the nozzle was removed (I used scotch tape) 4. remove the bottom grill 5. Notice water line exiting the bottom of the door at the hinge which is connected to a plastic connecter behind the grill 6. Disconnect the line from the connecter, removing the metal clip holding the line to the front of the refrig. (a little water may be in the line) 7. GENTLY pull the water line down through the door until the taped line is all the way through. 8. Reattach the water line at the connecter and re-attach the metal clip. 9. Re-attach new water line nozzle in the water dispenser using the screw. 10. Re-attach dispenser cover using the instructions above. 11. Check for leaks 12. Re-attach grill and enjoy.

Plastic Ice Bin Augar Drum Broken in Pieces
Awesome price, awesome service, and great experience. I must say I was apprehensive about repairing my refrigerator’s ice maker, but the pieces of plastic and the $150 estimate to repair the bad part helped to motivate me into action. I quickly found the part I needed on your website at a reasonable price and placed the order. I fully expected to wait 6 – 8 weeks for the part to arrive but to my great surprise it arrived in just two days! I maintained and repaired complex ordinance and missiles in the Air Force for 21 years but a couple of steps in the repair of this icemaker stymied me, until that is, I watched your repair video! What a wonderful resource that was, step-by-step instructions on the entire repair…. Armed with this resource a guy just can’t go wrong and in short order the repair was complete and I am back to crushing ice again. What a wonderful service you provide and I couldn’t be a happier customer. You folks at Partselect.com have your stuff together, keep up the good work.
