I watched the how to video and it was very helpful. I followed all the steps as described although I did not take the cabinet off , I just laid the unit down on the back with a couple towels behind it. the only thing that was a little bit hard was hooking the back clamp on the pump. If you hook the back clamp before putting the pump back on it is much easier.

After reading everyone elses stories, I purchased all new springs(5), new spring brackets(one of mine was rusted really badly)and all new wear pads(two sets of 3pcs each). The rusted spring bracket was the most time consuming as the screw was rusted into the bracked so I had to drill it out. Other than that, the actual spring replacement was easy. Took maybe 10 minutes. The wear pads were another story. I'm a pretty good mechanic and I had a bit of a struggle getting the old pads out. I used a long, flat head screwdriver to pry them out. Once they were out the new ones weren't too tough to get back in. Took about 20 minutes all together. I stongly recommend watching the video on removing the washer cabinet first. It will save you some time. Acutally, watch the videos on all of the parts to simplify the process. Oh and by the way, all of my washer problems are gone. Well worth my time and $70 in parts. I am an old woman who is disabled and without any tools or knowledge, but sheer stubbornness and will power, I waited for my tools and other parts to come in, in the mean time I fixed my young neighbors whirlpool washer, well We took top off the nut I had already pre assembled her cam so set it in place of old one put bolt back in place and the top of agitator she says works perfectly now, my parts came in I had nothing to remove as my handicap daughter had already thrown away all the loose parts, I threw away old top agitator, assembled cam and put in place still did not feel tight enough so added seal from other nut!! it worked tight enough, put the inner part back in with new part and soap put the top back on and now works good as new, was disappointed could not put bottom agitator in place, just not strong enough lol well this was my story

Removed bolt from agitator assembly. Pulled up on the agitator vane and removed it.
tipped over macvhine . Drained water from tub via the drain hose assemble and removed clips from the hoses to the pump atached to the motor and drained residual water from the lines. Removed the electrical connector attached to the motor assembly and the three bolts holding the motor assembly and shaft to the tub and slid the shaft and assembry out.. Took digital photo of the assembly to insure proper part replacement and removed the clips and spring that are part of the assembly that holds on the clutch. Removed the old assembly and installed the new assembly . Installed the spring and retaining clip that came with the kit and installed the shaft . Installed the three bolts holding the/motor assembly and shaft in place and reconnected the hoses to the pump assembly and reconnected the electrical connector. Uprighted the washer and everything worked like new when I tested the spin cycle. I was quoted $225 to fix the bad clutch from the appliance tech that I paid $20 to diagnose the problem . Saved about $175 by doing it my self and it wasn't hard to do. My thanks to the previous persons that had done the repair and left iinstructions on how to do it.

removed the old clutch assembly. Then replaced with the new clutch assembly and it works great.

the original piece had 3 metal clips that held the strip in place. It was a matter of sliding the strip off and sliding the new replacement part on. Time involved was less than one minute. It took longer to find the part than to install it. The part was ordered Thursday night and it was installed by Monday! Great service!

It was simple slide off the old seal and then clip on the new one. I also want to thank the workers at Parts Select, it was very simple and everything went great. I will be using them again and passing the word on.

Ordered the part and a couple of days later I popped off the old and popped on the new. It took longer to remove the part from the box than to install it.

Really nothing to it, especially since the original seal was coming apart. I just ripped it the rest of the way apart and removed it, then slid the new one on in its place.

Removed the agitator. Then removed the nut holding the agitator shaft. I set the machine on its side. Working from the bottom, i removed the three bolts which hold the transmission/motor. I removed the wiring. Pulling the unit down and out of the shaft bearing. The clutch assembly is on the transmission/motor unit shaft. Remove the snap ring and retaining ring for the shaft. Replace the clutch unit in the reverse order. The hardest part to replace is the retaining ring on the shaft. Pay close attention on how everything comes apart and you won't have any problems. Saved myself a lot of money.

I took the outside case off. took the bolt out of agitator, removed agitator, took motor out with ease of 2 scres and clamps, pulled trannny out and slidd clutch off and put new clutch on. replaced coupling while it was apart with new and better one for 12 bucks. put back together and works like new.......piece of cake........
