3ED25DQXBN01 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

This is real easy even if you are not mechanically incline. To remove the broken stud I just used channel locks (pliers will work) to go straight over the stud and grip the flat edges of the base of the stud. With a slight inward pressure and a counterclockwise turn of about 90 degrees (quarter turn) and then gently pulled it out while still turning it with the channel locks, it came right out. Installation is just as easy. Starting at about 180 degrees (half turn) from final installation position (see other studs) grab the stud with your channel locks the same way you took out the broken one and push it into the hole firmly while turning it clockwise and maintaining a inward pressure. stop when you get to the point where it is in the same position as the other studs and the base is flush with the fridges inner wall. put your shelves back in and you are done.

I removed the top door hinge cover, removed the top hinge, pulled the refrigerator door off, layed it on the floor, removed the door cams, installed the new door cams, replaced the doo and top hinge and hinge cover. If you have this problem with your refrigerator door, be sure to replace the upper and lower cam.

Googled for a solution to how to fix a refrigerator door that would not close. Was directed to a video from PartSelect. Was wrong brand, but I got the general idea. Then, I looked up a refrigerator repair for Whirlpool. Called PartSelect with my model number and ordered a Cam Kit. Total cost shipped $20. Arrived in two days during the Holidays! Nice! (Ordered 12/23, Arrived 12/26). Opened package, fired the video up. Fixed in 15 minutes. Amazing!

It took me longer to get the glass out of the packaging that it did to make the repair. Once I got it out, the only thing to do was to place it in the glass insert. Very simple.

Removed screws from the back of the part in the fridge. Pulled old part out. Measured the old part. Cut new part to fit. Replaced new part and tightened the screws. Worked perfectly.

Thermostat replacement

Took socket out and replace it with new one. Very easy. W saved alot of money doing it ourself.

First, although I was SURE I knew what to do, I watched the repair video. I used needle nose pliers to push broken support into wall since I could not pull it out. Selected correct wall fixture, spread holder pins, and snapped into wall opening. Couldn't have been easier!!! Very useful site.

Took ice maker out all together we removed 4 to 5 screws had to remove axel to get the broken piece out and new one in my husband said it was easy in and out in about 15 minutes saved about 150. 00 Thanks partslect

I took the upper three screws pull the door up and then removed the broker part in the bottom of door by removing one screw. Install new part and put door back securing it by the three screws on the top of regrigerator. Very easy

Easy job due to great instruction video by PartSelect.

Before I ordered, I followed the great video to disassemble the unit. That's when I realized I only needed to buy the drum. Five days later, I had the part. I thought I remembered how to reassemble it, but I ended up needing to watch the video again. It wasn't difficult, but you must get all the bits back in the same order!! Once that was dine, it all went together easily. Thank you! I'm so impressed with this site that I posted on Facebook about it so my friends can also save big bucks doing simple repairs themselves.

Removed all the crisper shelves, twisted out the old supports, twisted in the new ones and cleaned the bottom of fridge while pans were removed.

Fridge side: Remove all door bins. Close the door. Pry off top hinge cap. Using 5/16" nut driver, remove three screws. Remove top hinge by lifting it up. Place pad on floor to prevent marring. Hold door at sides. Open door halfway and lift it up and off the bottom hinge. Do not let door fall! Set door on pad. The lower and upper cams are different; do not mix them up (check the parts list). Remove the old lower cam from the hinge (on fridge) and install new lower cam with new screw. Remove the old upper cam from the bottom of door and install new one with shoulder screw provided. If the old cam does not have the shim, do not use the shim from kit. The kit has extra parts and screws. Lift up the door and set it on the lower hinge pin and close it. Reinstall the upper hinge and shim loosely with the three screws. Adjust the door before tightening the screws. Check that the gasket is compressed evenly all around. Open and close the door. The door should close easily. If the door does not close easily, remove it again and smear some Vaseline on the lower hinge pin and cam. Replace the door and put a little Vaseline on the upper hinge pin before inserting it into the door. Finally, replace the upper hinge cap and replace the door bins. Repeat procedure for freezer side. This fridge does not have water/ice dispenser in the door.

Remove drip tray, remove two screws under drip tray and remove trim piece around dispensers. The micro switch is located at top right corner; slide it off the small post that holds it in place. Remove wire from switch (be gentle so you don't break wire, mine was on pretty tight. My switch was clearly burned out (black on connections). Anyway, just click wire back on new switch and push back on the post that holds it in place. Put back trim, screws and drip tray. The whole thing took a few minutes....I am no repair man but there were two switches on the post next to one another, I imagine the other controls the water dispenser in the event it had the same problem? If I had removed the trim piece and looked before ordering the part I probably would have swapped them out to confirm the problem was definitely the switch...I assume you could do that because they appear identical but can't say for sure. However, all indicators pointed to the switch anyway. Part was inexpensive and Part Select got it right out to me.
