Went on your website and determined the part needed with the symptoms described above. Ordered the part and when received did as your repair guidelines suggested. Removed screws bottom of microwave, dropped down bottom plate, removed the two prong electric connection, removed two screws holding in the turn table motor and replaced the motor. Reversed the process. Couldn't have been easier. Took about 15 minutes. Steve W.

Repair went exactly as described on line. . . Total of seven screws. . . Five to remove the trim and exposed the drive motor and two holding the drive motor in place. . . A magnetic screw driver would have been helpful but not necessary. Almost took more time to find the correct circuit breaker than time to do the repair.

Remove 2 screws, remove cover, remove filter, reverse proceedure.

After seeing that a replacement microwave would run at least $250 or more, I researched the problem online which included instructions on how to replace the motor and determined that the repair would be a somewhat easy Fix-It-Yourself project (and a whole lot easier than replacing the entire unit!). I ordered the turntable motor for under $40 at this website, it came within a few days. I printed the instructions from the webpage noted above and took them and a phillips-head screwdriver to the microwave, and I had the repair done in less than 10 minutes with my wife helping hold the bottom panel in place while I put in the 5 screws.

Dropped bottom of microwave, removed motor then installed new motor. Very simple.

We just took out the old coupler and installed the new in the same place. That simple.

Found blowup drawings inside unit, which helped identify what I had to remove. Had neighbor assist in lifting unit from wall mount, unit slides easily from rails once top bolts are removed. Pay attention to where all the screws go as you remove them, some inside assemblies will have to be removed or loosened. A good guideline to go by is all black screws hold internal assemblies, the bronze screws go in the back side and the chrome screws go on top, sides, and front of the unit. I was able to lift unit back on rails without any assistance.

Every thing about the door of the microwave is snap together except the four screws that hold the handle to the door through outer and inner panels. You simply pry carefully the outer panel off. Remove two screws that become visible. The inner panel is not so easy. It will separate from the outer door and glass, but you have to be careful. Once separated, the other two screws are revealed. The glass slid out of the outer door on me. I finally got it back in and snapped every thing back together. Look for the alignment pins of the outer door to fit in the inner panel holes. The outer inner panel snapped right back it. The only bad result was I smudged the glass and now I have permanent smudges sandwiched in the door. I'm going to live with it.

removed access panal, found soft switch as discribed on your web site. removed and replaced.

Unplug the microwave power cord. Remove the turntable and drive coupler. Remove 5 screws and the bottom hinges down. Unplug the motor power line, remove one screw holding the motor. Reverse the procedure for installation of the motor. Reset the time and date on the microwave display. The replacement motor from PartSelect showed up within 3 days of placing the order. 1) I unplugged the microwave. 2)I removed 5 screws which allowed the bottom of the microwave to open. 3)I unplugged the drive motor. 4) I removed 2 screws holding the bad motor and removed the motor. 5) I installed the new motor with the same 2 screws and completed the replacement by doing steps 3,2,1. I reset the clock after testing. Easy-Peasy. My mother was thrilled. She was using it that way for about a year because she thought a repair person would charge too much.

Opened the bottom panel of the microwave, removed one screw from the motor, rotated motor aprox 1/8th turn and pulled it down, Pulled off wires and then reversed the operation. Was easy and works great. I was really surprised how fast the new part was sent.
