Keep searches simple. Use keywords, e.g. "leaking", "pump", "broken" or "fit".
Door Seal on oven was old, hard and breaking apart.
It was very simple, pull off the old one, then I took some pliers and pulled out the fasteners. Took new gasket from bag and it just snapped into place.
First thing- I cut off power to the range. I then removed two screws to allow the cook top to be lifted. I marked the wiring and replaced the burner. Reapplied power and started cooking!
First-my daughter needed her pizza and I didn't want to even think about the cost of a new range. So she did some research online about replacement parts. Lo an behold, Partselect.com was our answer.
We received the part in a few days and replaced it with just unscrewing a few screws.. AFTER we unplugged the range. We also used a tool that I would describe as a nail remover/lifter to get the end off of the wire connection. Needless to say, we were rookies and had no experience with this type of repair and were so proud that we were able to spend less than $30.00 to fix our oven. First I shut off the power at the circuit breaker.Then I removed the racks to make room to work.I then removed the 2 screws holding the element in place and pulled both sides out approx.3 inches.After carefully disconnecting the wires,I put the new element in to place and repeated the steps backwards.
Front left burner quit after bright flash under glass top
I ohmed out the burner element that wasnt working and found it was open. I ordered a new element thru PartSelect and installed it in the stove. I powered up the stove and turned on the burner but it didnt get hot. After a bit of testing I found that the new elements safety overtemp terminals werent in the same configuration as the original unit. I made some wiring adjustments and the burner was operating properly. Thanks PartSelect
Stove top wouldn't come on. Oven couldn't go higher than low heat
Had a technician from Home Advisor to check the problem out with my Whirlpool Double oven(1 1/2 old). Paid $60 to find the problem. According to the technician problem was control board and cost of labor and parts $465.00 Jumped on Part Select website, placed a question with my stove problem through the chat. Immediately they answered my question and told me the problem was the Terminal Block. Cost of part and shipping $25.00. Replaced it myself and everything works fine. I removed the two screws that held the element in. I pulled the old element out and heard a loud pop. I didn't realize that I had to turn the oven off at the breaker to change the element. It blew the breaker and melted one of the connectors to the element. The wires didnt pull through the hole so I had to pull the oven out, take the back panel off, replace the electrical connectors, slide the wires through the holes at the back of the oven, connect the element and put it back in, now it works fine. Remember to turn the oven off at the breaker when changing the element, it could be a shocking experience otherwise.
the left front burner burned out & none of the lights to show if a burner was hot would come on.
FIrst we found the power source ( this took us awhile) and cut the power at the fuse box. then we unplugged the cooktop and started to take out screws. It turned out the screw removal had nothing to do with the stove top coming out. We took the taping knife & pried it under a corner and lifted. the cook top was just sitting on the counter. The hardest part of the whole job was holding the cook top because we did not disconnect the downdraft fan other than to pull the tape off the vent & fan. Now we could undo the rachet screws that held the glass top to the cook top & remove it. Theburner was simply a matter of pulling connections loose & placing them on to the new one. The clips that hold the burner in place were removed w/ a screwdriver & replaced on to the new burner. Watch for the numbers on the burner underside to know where to reattache the clips. the unit that lights up to show that a burner is hot would not come off, but we managed to remove the plastic part even though the clip screw would not loosen, and since it only had to float near by we used the unused wire included in the new part to hold it in place. Putting the unit back together was not too hard, but it took us a little while to get it all lined up. Be carefull of what ever you work on, the downdraft fan scratched up the counter top that we were working on. we started with cardboard under it & should have continued, we did not want to try & remove the fan. Then we put it back in the counter opening & plugged everything back in & to our amazement ( we are not handy people) it worked! the lights that had refused to work when one unit was burned out now worked on all four units. thank you partselect, we were able to do the repair with what you sent.
The bake element broke at the rear causing a minor electric flash inside the oven
You guys had a installation video which help greatly. I did run into a couple issues. Firstly, it didn't see a plug for the oven so I shut the power down from the panel. Lastly, disconnecting the old bake element from the electric insert at the ends was a bit challenging. The element and the inserts looks as if it was one piece but eventually it pulled apart. Installing the new piece was very easy. You want to consider adding additional legs under the bake element closet the area where the element connect to the oven inserts. When my old element broke and failed, the live piece can in contact with the floor of the oven causing a flash. It was a bit scary.

Unplugged the stove. I removed the old element by removing the two screws holding it in, and plugged the stove back in. I ordered the part and it came in 2 days. Unpluged the stove again, connected the new element, and re-attached it via the two screws. Plugged it back in, and it worked great. Fantastic price and quick delivery. Only took about 5 minutes to fix, and I saved at least $100 by not having to call a service man.
First I took the new gasket out of the plastic bag to make sure it was the right size. Then I proceded to take the old gasket out by pulling it with a long noise pliers. Then I took the new gasket and went around the door putting the pins in the holes that, the old gasket was in. That,s about it.
Unplugged the stove and removed the back panel, disconnected the wires from the old receptacle, removed it, inserted the new receptacle, connected the wires, put the back panel of the stove on, plugged in the stove and then checked to see if the bulb was now burning. Success!
Removed 8 screws of retainer holding glass top to box.. Pulled 5 knobs and glass top and set aside. Popped 2 retaining clips holding burner , removed them and transferred to new burner (#12 and #48 position). Used wide blade screwdriver to facilitate removing terminals from old burner and attached terminals to new burner.Popped retaining clips into crossbeam, put glass top on and 8 screws back into retainer. Works great.
