I must say I was apprehensive about repairing my refrigerator’s ice maker, but the pieces of plastic and the $150 estimate to repair the bad part helped to motivate me into action. I quickly found the part I needed on your website at a reasonable price and placed the order. I fully expected to wait 6 – 8 weeks for the part to arrive but to my great surprise it arrived in just two days! I maintained and repaired complex ordinance and missiles in the Air Force for 21 years but a couple of steps in the repair of this icemaker stymied me, until that is, I watched your repair video! What a wonderful resource that was, step-by-step instructions on the entire repair…. Armed with this resource a guy just can’t go wrong and in short order the repair was complete and I am back to crushing ice again. Just followed the video that you guys had on line . It was a very easy repair

Repair was just like in the video, and the trouble shooting tips on here were great. The most highly probably issue for the broken bracket was exactly what my issue was. It was fixed in no time.Thanks, Tim

I watched the video and removed the tray, but there were no screws underneath it! We tried prying it off with no luck, and then I read the directions from another customer. We removed the door handle, pressed down on the dispensing unit while using a flat head screwdriver to pry off the dispenser unit at the bottom (There are two little slots where the screwdriver fits perfectly.) I was afraid of the thing cracking since it is so old, but it did fine. This was the only hard part. After this was off, the rest of the repair followed the video exactly and it was super easy and took about 5 minutes! As I was detaching the old control bracket, I saw that it was completely broken on the right side. I knew then that this was the correct fix. It was an incredible moment when we tested the dispenser for the first time and water came shooting out! Thanks for your help on this - I would have never dreamed doing a repair like this before, and now i know I can do it.

watched the video and went very well. No problems. I am sort of handy at repairs, and found this relatively easy.

First I watched the little video that was available when I bought the part on line. Though the job was easy, it was a VERY good idea to watch the video. Just makes you more confident to do the job well. The whole thing was done very quickly and to satisfaction

No repair needed, just replacement but I would like to say that you did a fantastic job getting it to me. I ordered the part at approximately 2PM and by noon the next day, it was at my front door. Thank you for shipping so quickly.

I followed the video. And it was a big help

snapped light lens in on the left then on the right. slid drawer into slots.

Followed the lead of david from chesterfield in prying off out cover, unplugging it and setting it aside. Unscrewed and pulled out next assemply, and taped it above work area to avoid having to unplug. The pried pulled out pin to right holding ice door hinge to remove old unit. (Notice which way the spring faces before removing!) unplugged it. Ended up taking off push-dispenser handle (one screw on right) to get easier access. Then reinserted long pin being careful to have spring with two long tongs pointing down. Then put everything back together. Use all parts!

First I watched the video on how to do it, then I tried it. First I disconnected the electrical. Then 2 screws in the front. Opened the front and disconnected the electrical wires that are all color coated. Took out unit and replaced it with new one. Put the unit back and was finished. Thanks for the help with the video.

Great! I actually replaced the Auger Drum while watching the step by step video on my PC. Do not think I could have completed this replacement so quickly without the video. I would recommend PartSelect to anyone. Thanks

After watching the vidio I think my wife could have done this repair. It took me about a half hour and the job was done. It cost me $20, No telling what a repair man would have charged. Thank You.

Was easy, removed several screws and a clip on the auger shaft. removed broken part and replace with new then reassembled

The only problem I had was the nut at the end turned the opposite direction. Once I realized that I took it apart in sequence and it went right back together. It helped me in that I slid all the parts off the auger shaft onto another small rod I had and then slid them right back on. Was no problem
